  1. Goodyear Efficient grips are excellent tyres for the Yeti and if winter performance not a concern then I would have stayed with them. However in North Yorkshire winters can be a bit harsher hence I decided to go with All Season tyres.
  2. You might want to consider Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons Gen2. Very quiet, comfortable with excellent road holding and feel. I swapped from Goodyear Efficient grips as summer tyres and Nokian winter tyres to avoid changing wheels twice a year and the 4 Seasons have been a revelation. Excellent tyres.
  3. If you hold the lock button down for a few seconds after locking then the mirrors fold. Opening is when you start the engine.
  4. The dealer should be able to find out if it had the chain replaced. Other than that if it drives well and looks well looked after you pays your money and takes the risk! One thing I noticed was the tow bar - wonder what it towed?
  5. Would be very grateful for your feedback after you have driven the Niro, particularly ride comfort and how quiet the cabin is from engine and road noise.
  6. I have been thinking about a Niro as a possibility as well. Maybe the PHEV version as most of my driving should be within the electric range and I have a drive to fit a home charging unit. The one thing I have a problem with is the funereal interior, why do cars have such dark seating etc? The Irish version of the Niro has a lovely light grey interior, but in UK we are stuck with BLACK¡!!!?
  7. Anyway, something to think about if you decide to buy it. My problem is I can’t find anything worth changing the Yeti for, Kamiq driving height is more hatchback than Crossover/SUV, VW T-Cross is spartan inside and comes without all the nice toys in the Yeti SEL Drive, most of the rest are just too bland or without some must have extras I want in my older age. Volvo XC40 is nice but I really don’t need anything as big as that. Ah well got a year or so before I will change as I usually change when cars are 5-6 years old.
  8. That is why I spec’d 16” wheels on my 2017 SEL Drive, transforms the drive comfort. Why don’t you buy a set of 16” alloys - fleabay or breakers yard - and fit them with all season tyres? I fitted Goodyear Vector 4 seasons Gen 2 and not only do they further smooth the ride but are very quiet. Sell the existing summer and winter wheels/tyres and you shouldn’t be too much out of pocket. You also save the hassle of changing the wheels twice a year.
  9. Not sure about the Aux socket - what did you try to connect to it. As far as the SD card is concerned they are sensitive to the formatting so you might need to reformat the card to readable format, try FAT. Also I think the 2013 system can only “read" up to 32gb cards - try a search but I am sure someone will come back with a definitive answer!
  10. Has any owner measured the drivers seat height compared to the original Yeti? Couple of road tests mentioned that the drivers seat height was low and the driver didn’t get the raised height that many SUV/Crossover owners prefer. One indicated that of the three VAG small crossovers - VW T-Cross, Seat Arona and Skoda Kamiq - that only the T-Cross had a properly elevated driving height while the Arona and Kamiq were more tall hatchback rather than SUV/Crossover. All other aspects of reviews were excellent so wondered how owners compared driving height with other small crossovers?
