  1. Try hitechwheelfinishes.ie, they might be able to do two-tone, as they say they can apply corporate colours onto wheels, so would appear to be more than one colour. They are based in Dublin 11, at the Rosemount Business Park.
  2. There appears to be a shortage of chrome roof rails at present, and here in Ireland, the ambition spec is now being offered with black rails or none. Also beige leather would appear to be in short supply, ( and this is possibly why, some cars which were ordered with beige, are being delivered with brown leather).
  3. In the 5x112 size , would ET45, cause any problems for the car?
  4. Thanks, I'll look at some other styles so.
  5. Gizmo68, thanks for that, I was looking for a set of alloys to fit 17" winter tyres on, and the different ET sizes was confusing, I currently have 18" pegasus alloys, and though that going back to my old 16" steels, would be too much of a difference. I've seen a set of Gigaro 17" black / silver alloys on superskoda for €659, while Skoda Ireland are pricing a set of alloys at €1610, now I just have to find the right set of tyres. Was thinking of either Goodyear Ultragrip 8, Hankook winter icep evo2, Pirelli W210 sotto zero S2, or Continental Winter contact TS 850P, all have a C,C tyre rating and goodyear have a 68dB noise rating while the other 3 have a 72. What would be the best of these, or is there better.
  6. I've seen in an earlier post, that the 7.ojx17" wheel for the new superb has an ET40, if I fitted wheels 7.0jx17" with an ET of 41, would there be any problems? thanks for any advice.
  7. If your car is fitted with the ashtray. in the centre console, have a look at it, as it seems to sit loosely on some cars, and can make a slight rattle / buzz, on some road surfaces.
  8. I have a Naito V2 GPS 32GB, in my Superb, and can say that so far, I have had no problems with it, and find the quality of recording to be excellent, both day and night. It cost me just under £100, form dashcams.co.uk.
  9. Week 22 build, would mean that cars are produced on week beginning Monday 30th May.
  10. They could be the rear light positions for the combi with the sunroof, as my car without sunroof has rear internal lights in middle of rear headlining, and not in the position as shown in the photo.
  11. 5 / Jonnb ----- Superb Combi Style 150, Quartz Grey, Black Leather, 18" Pegasus Alloys, Sunset Glass,
  12. It's included on the style spec in Rep. of Ireland, as part of the spec.
  13. I went for Quartz Grey Combi,in Style spec, and it's now built and on the docks in Germany, awaiting shipping to Ireland.
  14. I see that Skoda UK also charge £175 for Corrida Red, yet another no cost option for Rep of Ireland orders, I wonder at the stg / € exchange rate, and the difference in levels of spec, would it make it worthwhile for UK drivers wishing to order Superbs, to place orders in Ireland, as we seem to get confirmed build dates, within days of placing orders, perhaps this is down to the number of build spaces booked for Rep of Ireland.
  15. Candy White and Laser White are both no cost options on Rep of Ireland ordered Superbs, the only white with a charge of €673, is Moon White Metalic.
  16. I don't think that they are available, as they were not fitted on the model, I test drove, in Style spec.
  17. I have a V12 maps on disc from audisatnavs, if any one near me wants to borrow it, and update their maps. seems to be quite up to date, as previous roundabout near me, has now been replaced by a junction, and a retail park, has it's inner roads now displayed, ( previously you were off road).
  18. I have a V12 maps on DVD for the Columbus unit, if anyone near me, wishes to borrow it, it loaded my maps up in under 30 mins.
  19. cheers, thanks for that, as winter tyres still probably have 2 winters left on them.
  20. I am looking at the 2l / 150 hp , style version, which is coming in on 18" alloys (as an option over the 17" ).
  21. On my Superb Combi (2010 ), I have used 16" VW steel wheels, to put winter tyres on (205/55/16), and take off the alloys ( 225/45/17). I am just wondering, will these 16" steels, also fit on the new Superb 3, if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.
  22. My DMF failed, causing damage to clutch plate, and causing DMF, clutch and bearing to be replaced, at 74,000KM. garage reported no problem, with clutch, but Skoda, blaming driving style. Just my luck that car is 5 years old, with low mileage. An expensive repair, that I could have done without.
  23. Jake and Silver, thanks for the help, something to think about, difference in cost of changing bulbs or complete units is approx €280 more for the new units, and then the cost of bulbs for this unit.
