What the Bluetooth+ signal box option voice control refers to is AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) so you can control your iPhone/iPod touch via voice commands using the 9W7 bluetooth system.

With Bluetooth you can't control what tracks are being played. You need to select the tracks via the phone. With the ami/mdi matsumi iphone connection you can select the track/album via the Columbus/head unit and through the maxi dot. You can also watch videos that are on the iphone on the Columbus. For video to work via the ami you need the red collar mdi lead 000051446M Iphone 5 does not support video through the lightning connector.

Is there not a button on one of the stalks to activate it?

Although I've now just added canton sound, iphone ami, heated screen & washer jets.

You can get a USB adapter to plug into the matsumi ami connection to give you the USB port back if you wish.

Anyone found the owners manual for the Columbus?

I didn't go for the variable boot as I had ticked already got a bit carried away with the options anyway but now wishing I had. It's not listed in the accessories brochure as a retrofit does anyone know if this can be purchased swipe rarely and the cost of it? Also has anyone found the cost of the 230v outlet? Thanks

Feel a bit stupid asking this question but I can't remember. When I have the lights off only the led driving lights are on, when I switch the lights to sidelights the led driving light dim but no additional lights come on? I can't remember if I had lights in the light cluster that can on in addition to the drl's? Can someone with a facelift vrs let me know as I've either done something with Vcds or both bulbs are blown but there is no bulb warning light on the dash??

Yes park assist, I.e the self parking needs 6 sensors on the front, 2 are located on the sides of the bumper. However the golf and superb come with park assist as an option and the octavia vrs does not. I was unable to get the park assist to work as it seems to need a specific abs module.

Kbphoto is correct 1 module will do both front and rear if the part number ends in C, however if it ends in A or B then you will need to replace the module. I believe it's about £40 ish.

The go on the B pillar behind the plastic, take a look at the pictures above and there is a picture of me holding one. From memory I think the rear is on drivers side and front on passenger. However it really doesn't matter as they produce a different tone and it's hard to hear what direction the sound is coming from.

I have the additional 2 front sensors, again the problem was with it communicating with the abs module.
