  1. @Brizoo from the diagram it looks like BCM (Body control module). It is situated just above the pedals. when I was retrofitting light sensor and MFSW I removed the driver seat and laid on my back and found it easier to access it. Otherwise you will twisting and turning to find the correct cabling etc.
  2. The finished product @wirer thank you so lets hope the new module doesn't need adaptation. I really hope it works :( The wiring harness I bought from carsystems was the best. Everything worked from the start go
  3. Well just to update, I finished installing the front sensors and put everything back together. The front sensors are working flawlessly as if it came standard from factory. I got shocking quotation from local ODIS users here to reprogram my PDC module as it came from a 2015 Golf and it would require re-parameterising to Skoda i.e. new DataSet. VCDS unfortunately cannot do this and would require either VCP or ODIS. Think I am going to invest in VCP for future use. Anyhow to save money on the build I have bought a 8K module which came from a 2016 Skoda Fabia so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out of the box and if needed easily adapted with VCDS. Will keep you all posted!!!!
  4. @wirer Looks like I need new DataSet for the module :( VCDS cannot do it. One guy local to me with ODIS charging £100 to reflash the module. Should I look for a Skoda module? I found one on Ebay 5Q0919294K which is from a 2016 Fabia.
  5. Looks like module is working well with 3 sensors in rear
  6. Ok just done a translate on the error message [Steuergerät für elektrische Park-/Handbremse-J540 - EPB_01 - kein Signal/keine Kommunikation] to [Control unit for electric parking / handbrake-J540 - EPB_01 - no signal / no communication Electric parking / handbrake? My PDC module was from golf. Edit...... [Steuergerät für Rear Cross Traffic Alert - RCTA_01 - kein Signal / keine Kommunikation] to [Control unit for Rear Cross Traffic Alert - RCTA_01 - no signal / no communication]
  7. @wirer Ok did a dummy fit of the front sensors and hooked up VCDS and copied the coding as mentioned in Tutorial. The infotainment display for the parking has disappeared :( getting following errors: Error in Park / Steer Assist Address 10: Park/Steer Assist Labels: 5Q0-919-294.clb Control Module Part Number: 5Q0 919 294 E HW: 5Q0 919 294 A Component and/or Version: PARKHILFE 8K H03 0048 Software Coding: 0031055041 Work Shop Code: WSC 01357 011 00200 ASAM Dataset: EV_EPHVA18AU3700000 002024 (VW26) ROD: EV_EPHVA18AU3700000_VW26.rod VCID: 3D273BFA1DF22843795-8068 2 Faults Found: 12658704 - Databus U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message [Steuergerät für elektrische Park-/Handbremse-J540 - EPB_01 - kein Signal/keine Kommunikation] Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 6 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 39 Mileage: 41792 km Date: 2020.09.25 Time: 01:11:15 13639168 - Databus U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message [Steuergerät für Rear Cross Traffic Alert - RCTA_01 - kein Signal / keine Kommunikation] Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 6 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 39 Mileage: 41792 km Date: 2020.09.25 Time: 01:11:15 Infotainment Error 1 Fault Found: 1546 - Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error B2000 46 [009] - Calibration/parameter memory failure [Control module faulty: EEPROM error] Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 3 Fault Frequency: 1 Mileage: 31955 km Date: 2019.04.10 Time: 13:28:27 Voltage terminal 30: 12.1 V
  8. I think if I put the car in reverse the front should be activated I will let you know my findings
  9. Thanks @wirer for the help I will be working on the bumper this evening so yes by testing I should be able to find out. I am still waiting on switch so hopefully be able to test the front parking sensors?
  10. Mine don't have part numbers unfortunately. OK so is this layout correct? Are sensors 4,3,2,1 layout correct?
  11. I received my sensor holders from AutoDoc today and they are aftermarket ones. However apart from being labeled 1,2,3,4 I am not sure which way they are meant to on the bumper? @wirer can you help please?
  12. @wirer Since my car is RHD and my harness runs on the driver side to the engine compartment as shown in the picture will I need to connect it to the sensor harness from the passenger side? In your tutorial you connect from passenger side.
  13. Is Hill Hold Assist standard on Fabia 3? I thought it would have required a ABS unit upgrade?
  14. Oh yes I found it yesterday I removed Air Vent and got good access to the module
  15. Can you send link to it @wirer please? What is No5?
  16. All sorted now, I got it from Ebay and the seller has excepted return however I had to take plunge on the postage :( Anyways correct part ordered so lets hope it goes according to plan.
  17. There you go mate https://wirer.sk/f3_pdc-zadok/ This is the tutorial by @wirer I am currently doing the Front parking sensor mod
  18. I have only gone and ordered the wrong PDC switch :( Mine is the UK RHD so needs 6V2927238E instead of the 6V1927238E
  19. Thanks mate I will check in evening may be in same place for Right hand drive?
  20. @wirer is the parking module under the passenger side? best to remove glove box?
  21. Well received complete wire harness from CarSystems today I must say topnotch quality!!!!! Other items received are the dashboard switch, sensor washers and parking module. waiting on 4 x sensors and 4 x holders and then it's operation time
  22. Yeah i need a few items to complete the retrofit: Buzzer Buzzer connector Sensors Sensor holders In my Octavia VRS I ran the wiring from the passenger side, however in Fabia3 the module is located under the driver side near the BCM from wirer's tutorial should have plenty of harness
  23. Planning on getting it from here https://www.carsystems.eu/skoda-fabia-3-park-pilot-front-upgrade-w-ops-wire-harness,id3443.html from picture it looks like their wires are colour coded. However who knows when it arrives
  24. I have understood the wire diagram but just contemplating whether to buy the entire harness incl. sensor harness, buzzer and switch wiring for £80 or make it myself? May be I will save around £20-30?
  25. Awesome find wirer Let's hope 5Q0 919 294 E works in mine I am sure it will as it works for you.
