  3. Yes I have come to that conclusion but too many people wanting it for nothing so selling some parts and them scrapping will get me what I would like from the car. Already sold my pro race 1.2 wheels with Nankang tyres ,pro race 2 winter rims,ECS clutch and flywheel, forge fmic and some more parts.
  4. Mk3 doesnt have th3 feedback of the mk1 even with dogbone bush and rear arb on the mk3.
  5. No it has been stood for 4 years so brakes is the main problem. By the time I have done brakes service timing belt probably due. Mainly lack of time with family/work and storage space that I made this decision. Engine has been turned over and runs sweet. A few parts have been taken off now so no turning back.
  6. It’s sad sad day today as I made the decision to say goodbye to my Mk1 Vrs. A few on here (the oldies) may have seen my car a good few years ago as it’s been in my procession since 1sr September 2005 but due to lack of use and it being stood for the last 4 years, I finally (reluctantly) to decided to get rid. Mainly due to lack of space and time. Still in the Skoda fold having purchased a mk3 vrs 230 pfl last year but it’s got nothing on the mk1 and I will try and purchase another one when we move house. Car hasn’t gone just yet as I will be stripping it as nobody wanted to take a project on.
  7. If your local I may have a gearbox.

  9. Purchased this last November 16’ plate 230 edition.
  10. Had my mk1 vrs since 1st September 2005 when it was just under 3 years old ‘52 plate.
  11. Been installed in the interior for around 2 months and no problems so far. Only just fitted them into the number plate lights and coded them,so will see how they go.
  12. I have replaced all the interior lights with these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B079GPKQDB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 no error codes for the interior. I have also used them on the number plate lights but they needed coding. Fitted superskoda wing mirror puddle lights and boot lights as they are super bright.
  13. All sorted now thanks. I was being an idiot and just copying everything over. Suppose it doesn’t help when I did my backup on my sons Windows laptop and it needs clearing due to a windows update stuck in 92%. One good thing was I managed to sort out my electric seats memory function, which wasn’t working due to basic settings needed doing.
  14. Decided to try and update satnav on the car last night and now it’s not working. Car is 2016 MIB2 system with original Skoda 16gb card. Downloaded files, unzipped, format SD card, save to SD card. When turning on Nav and inserting SD card error comes saying no map data. Do I just start all the process again? Original maps were ECE 2016 on SD card.
  15. Hopefully picking a 16 plate 230 vrs up at the weekend so need a few pointers as 1st mods to do. Is there a best 1st mods like on the old mk1’s dog bone mount and rear ARB.
  16. Think it’s time to say hello again as it’s been a while. Not been on her much for the last 9/10 years due to family life, but some of the old members might remember me.
  17. Just a little busy at the moment so I won't get time get them fitted and swop wheels over. Price has gone up a little since I ordered but from the reviews seem to be glowing for the money.
  18. Just received a set of NS-2R track (120) compound from tyreleader as I have watching the price of these come down over the last 4 weeks. Paid £265 for a set of 225 45 17 and wait to get them fitted. Opted for these over the fed's as they come with 7mm compaired to 5mm on the fed's.
  19. I will take it. Please pm me payment details. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Turned on anti hijack, adjusted indicators to flash, alarm chirp when arming and turned single door unlock off. Oh and power steering figure from 5 to 2.
  21. Thought I would pop over from the Octy mk1 section due to the addition in the family. Picked up a little '06 Fabia 1.4 16v Elegance on Sunday for the wife. Seems a nice little round around and very well equipped. First thing was to get vagcom out and change a few setting and give the interior a good clean. Paint work needs a few touch ups but that can wait till the spring. Needs new top mount and wouldn't start today due to broken starter motor wire, but that was an easy fix. Hoping to keep it fairly standard apart from a few choice styling mods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
