BAM engine will fit an Octavia, though tbh, after all the cost etc, i wouldnt see the point.
turbo, injectors, maf, manifolds.
apparently the rods are stronger, but they're still not the best.
-
Damn. Means I will need a wide band gauge as my rear lambda is disabled.
Cheers Rob!
-
Which one is wide band and which one is narrow band?
-
Lol, yeah not ideal! Luckily I get discount on the bits I buy so don't have to worry as much lol
-
How much that set you back muppje?
-
Check the sunroof drains. They exit on the a pillar where the door is, it's a black rubber outlet.
If it's blocked then it will cause water in the footwell.
-
I have a decat on mine with map to suit, just need to get the cat back section now. Goes very well since the decat went on!
-
Thanks Sarah
-
Yeah there is, in the map

Does anyone have the part number for a dark a pillar for drivers side? I want to put a few gauges in but want to fit them to the a pillar first.
How much are they?
Cheers

my mpg has gone up - 38mpg on a recent spirited run to London and back
I dont have a Shark Remap though!
-
Also you may find you get an emmisons light on the dash, especially if they dont put the lambda sensors back in, but also because the rear one may pick up that the cat isn't there.
Make sure the boxes don't narrow in internal pipe diameter otherwise it will still be restricted
-
Put a recirc on it.
-
Could be the pancake pipe that connects to the intercooler.
-
Unplug the maf and see if it drives any different.
It it's better then there is an issue with the maf.
-
400 a time for a tweak is a bit steep! Ive had my map treaked several times by my tuner and ive never been charged!

Is the pump up to supplying the required fuel? May not be giving enough fuel pressure.
I know *some* maps require the use of a 4bar pressure regulator. Not sure why as the fuel pressure regulators run at 1:1 rising rate and with a base rate of pressure (i.e. if running 3.5bar at 0psi positive boost, at 14.5psi (1bar) positive boost it would be putting fuel through at 4.5bar.
When you said fluttering in the title i thought you meant boost surge. TBH sounds like you may need the map adjusting.
-
Deffo not right. I find 2nd and 3rd quite fun!
-
Boost leak, bit of surge?
Is it remapped?

Glad your all fixed up and a happy bunny. ()
Didn't realise car was modified by a previous owner, hence my out-of-place short earlier statement.
Apologise's to each offended member.
I don't think anyone is particually offended just the fleeting comment didn't really help lol.

Mmmmm , not the nicest post I have seen
Sarah
Agreed. How does tinkering with a car come back to bite when it's a brake light switch failure? It happened to me on a standard car before now.
-
Sounds like the fuel may be running back down the fuel line to the tank. Vauxhall omega 2.5tds suffer this issue when the tank is around a quarter full or sometimes when warm, and is usually caused by the lift pump at the tank.
I hope you get it sorted!
-
Did you never ask jabba to replace it?
Glad you fixed it though and can have happy motoring
-
Yep I knew straight away when I had mine done. I'd had maps from different tuners on my car but the one i have now is awesome!

Some AUQ's / AWT's seem to be going strong with over 300bhp.
Are you sure its BHP and not the torque that kills the rods?
