  1. Skoda have replied finally to me and said the TMC was provided by a third party provider who no longer provide the service. I don’t agree as the service was on the vehicle when I purchased it and now it’s gone. Skoda insist other owners can use Apple car play or Android auto to receive traffic updates and the new infotainment systems are live but I don’t have any of these so I can no longer receive traffic on my Amundsen system.
  2. Okay they are the same size I’m a bit annoyed the fitters didn’t advise that these tyres do not have a rim protector . It just looks like the tyres don’t fit the wheels properly.
  3. I have just had the original Bridgestone tyres replaced with Continental eco contact and it looks like the tyres don’t fit the wheels properly as the rim is showing. It was not like this with the Bridgestone. Any thoughts as it looks strange and there isn’t any protection for the rim from the tyre now. The first picture are the originals and the second the new tyres with rim showing.
  4. I have noticed today my TMC has a red line through it and I’m not receiving any traffic updates any ideas.
  5. As far as I’m aware the 1.2 TSI is four cylinder and chain driven the 1 Litre TSI is belt driven and 3 cylinder. My car is a 67 plate and is the 3 cylinder.
  6. I contacted Skoda Warranty concerning this and they confirmed to me the retailer is meant to question why the claim was denied they did not do this. When they input the part number it automatically assumed it was a hose and declined the repair. They have refunded all the money today and are investigating what happened. I’m just wondering how many other people have been affected by this. It’s always good to keep pushing and not take no for an answer.
  7. That's exactly the document I showed them. That small piece at the bottom saying wear and tear means the gradual reduction in performance or component over time from normal usage pretty much excludes them from paying anything. I was told today that if this pipe had snapped on a new car it would not be covered and it was also mentioned that the washer fluid screen wash may have been to strong! I was about to extend the warranty but not now after this I won't give them a penny more. It's not specific to Skoda as I also own a Hyundai I30N from new which has a five year warranty but they also do not want to pay out on anything.
  8. The vehicle is a 67 plate and yes it is an official Skoda used 2 year warranty. The retailer told me the pipe had snapped. I spoke to Skoda CS who were less than helpful as usual and both are saying it’s not covered.
  9. Just an update on this issue Skoda have charged £100 to identify this problem ad it's a broken pipe and now want to charge £240 to repair it so a total of £340! The car is still under warranty but they are refusing to say this is covered. It seems to me warranty's are really not worth the paper they are written on. The water was also going near the rear lights so there is also an issue with the electrics here.
  10. I have water leaking into the boot when I use the rear washer any ideas as some of the water still finds it’s way onto the rear screen.
  11. In all Skoda literature it actually says recommended which the franchise also said. If it breaks it will do serious damage to the engine and I’m sure Skoda would turn around and say it should have been changed at 5 years or 60,000 miles whichever is soonest.
  12. £549 was quoted and when I arrived it was £769. All they could come up with was it was a mistake. I also had the quote in writing.
  13. Hello can you please supply more details so I can add this to my complaint I have been using this dealership for over 25 years customer loyalty no chance
  14. I had problems at this dealer last year at service time and I arrived today for my Service and MOT and cam belt change. Firstly I had a courtesy car booked six weeks before but when I arrived none were available. I was also quoted a price for the cam belt change but when I arrived they would not honour this price and added over £200 to the price. Since Lookers took over this dealer it’s gone downhill. As a matter of principal I will take my vehicle elsewhere after 30 years using this dealer be aware.
  15. Thanks for the reply. The warranty is valid until next April and its a Skoda warranty as I purchased the car on PCP. I'm still getting different prices quoted and different dealers giving different information as one said they would replace the water pump as well and another saying it was on the opposite side of the engine and it wouldn't be changed. I'm very confused with it all. I had an issue at last years service with them trying to charge for things that should have been included which Skoda agreed with and refunded me and I'm trying not to be in this situation again.
  16. My Rapid Spaceback is now 5 years old and only done 19000 miles. I have been advised it needs a cam belt change but I am getting different prices to do this from different dealers. It’s still under warranty and the website says it’s only recommended but if it breaks I’m sure Skoda would not honour the warranty. I thought Skoda had fixed price servicing but I have been told not all dealers subscribe to this which is new to me. I have been quoted from £549 to £749. I am really confused what to do any ideas.
  17. I would just like to update on the above. Skoda Have now agreed with me that the advertising for the £79 for two services could and should have been clearer. They could not provide me with any document to say the spark plugs are not included and have agreed to look at the website. They also offered me a full £115 refund for the spark plugs.
  18. My point really is that Skoda should be more transparent in whats included when you buy these plans. Very misleading advertising and nowhere on my contract does it say spark plugs not included.
  19. The 1 means 1x inspection and oil change and 1 x inspection with extended scope
  20. I purchased an approved used Skoda last April and took the PCP finance which included 2 services for £79 which I paid for. I took my vehicle to my local dealer yesterday and they charged me over £115 for spark plugs which they insist are not included in the service plan. I looked at my policy and cannot see anywhere that the spark plugs are excluded. My dealer has not given any written evidence to explain their decision. They have told me Skoda do not need to show what's not covered which I find hard to believe. Skoda CS and VW financial who run the service plan are a waste of time and do not really understand the policy they are selling. Anyone thinking of taking this deal as its still available be aware you may not be covered like you think you are. In my opinion 2 services is exactly that. The website also quotes taking this plan gives you the confidence to budget for the next two services which I now completely disagree with.
  21. Thanks for the reply the plugs were just over £115 and was I told they were needed as the car is now 4 years old as shown in the table above. My argument is that if you pay for 2 services for £79 then this should be all you pay over the 2 years it's misleading in my opinion the website quotes you can be confident that you can budget for the next two services which is not correct as I have paid more. Skoda CS and VW financial who sell the service plan don't have a clue about the product they are selling. It's a shame that I have been using the dealer for over 25 years who have recently been taken over by Lookers so much for customer loyalty. I'm just trying to warn anyone thinking of taking out this plan what to expect. I have also looked at my service plan contract and nowhere does it say in the exclusions about spark plugs.

  23. The car has done 13000 miles the paperwork says 1 inspection and 1 with extra scope it’s 4 years old this months so should have the plugs. My point is no where in the paperwork does it say the plugs are not included and they cannot provide any evidence to prove they are not included. If you pay for two services that is exactly what I expect to get. The supplying dealer admitted they wouldn’t have charged for them which is even more confusing. Just a side note I have used the dealer I used today every year since 1988 and spent thousands with them so much for customer loyalty.
