  1. Malcolm, yes, free fix, but the car was also under warranty so not 100% sure it would be out of warranty.
  2. Are any of you 'Primary User' in your car? I have only ever used 'Guest'. I created an account and logged in, becoming Primary User and ran the update, and got 2 green ticks for the data plans and shop updates. I've not seen them before. Will see if I get another update tomorrow but I wonder if the update needs a primary user to work.
  3. The parking sensors problem I had (throws an error when starting the car, but goes away again if you turn the car off and on again, or to avoid the error push the start button with no clutch, then after 2 seconds push again with clutch to start the engine) was cured with a "TPI", which is a patch, but I never caught the number. That was at Marriott Ipswich Skoda.
  4. Do we think this is only Octavia Mk4? I assume everyone posting here has Octy Mk4. Mine is trying once a day. Takes a while saying "upgrading" and then nothing changes and no error or completion messages.
  5. Also been getting this, at least 4 attempts over the past week or more, on 1989. Hope today was the last. 1989 kept crashing for me when I tried to play a radio station, I like to turn off radio icons, after several resets I realised that it was turning off radio icons that crashed the 1989 version when trying to listen to the radio. Thought my 1989 was stable, until this...
  6. Is it only when you start the car? I found that I got that error when starting, but if I turned the engine off and restarted it cleared. A workaround was to turn the car on for 2 seconds and then start the engine. It was fixed by a software update/patch at the dealer, it was a known issue.
  7. Yes. I restored to factory settings and all was working fine again until I turned off radio icons and the same crashing problem came back. I didn't make that connection first time so restored to factory settings again and all was fine for a bit until I got round to setting up the radio preselects and this time I realised that it was turning off icons that triggered it. Factory settings one more time and this time I just didn't turn of icons and it has been fine ever since.
  8. Since the 1989 update I can't select a radio station without the system hanging and then rebooting. It will do this repeatedly if I try to listen to radio, even after a long press reset. If I don't turn off radio icons, all is fine. I only turned them off because the screen looked messy with the blurred enlarged icons, so no big deal, just sharing here in case anyone else is having problems. My car is a 2023 Octavia Mk4
