  1. some of the jetex exhausts look nice, they claim increased performance without extreme chav noise but a little noise, just to make it sound a bit sportier, the fit well with the exsisting vrs trim aswell

Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone has had any experiance with the VAG COM cables currently being sold on ebay. they tend to come with the cable, driver and VCDS lite which from what i gather is a freeware program for running engine diagnostics. Apparently you can do a range of things with this from setting new radio keys, resseting and clearing ECU cache right the way to flashing new MAPs on the ECU. any comments would be appreciated as well as any advice on downloading new MAPS

  5. and another point it was me infront he was trying to overtake me i was well ahead of him cruisin at a 'legal' speed and he tried to overtake me but couldnt manage it, as i said there was drive play but this was before the straight bit i wasnt foot to the floor, i suppose the headline my vrs got onwned has set of wild thoughts, to all u ney sayers im no wreckles driver he tried performing a moneuver that he could not accomplish. i had two option carry on cruising at the same speed hopin he would realise his error and drop his wreckless move, or brake and risk him braking and trying to move back in lane also. plus on a standard fab hard braking plus 50/55 mph can cause glowing its only steel, and im pretty sure that he sparked cos his brakes were worn and his rivot pins may have been touching disc dont judge me ppl :(

  7. hmmmm he dint eat me alive he tried over tsking me on this long straight bit of road but couldnt quite manage it he had to brake really hard to avoid smashing into oncoming traffic, i saw his brake discs glow and spark a little, he was really pushin a mapped pd100 seems to make sense. however the car was pretty standard had standard steel rims with hub caps, hed tinted his windows, seemingly an illegal tint on the front i might add. tbf its really knocked me down a peg cos i thought he wouldnt stand a chance, his gear changes were very choppy too, plus he had a very late gear change on his last gear which indicated a 6th gear hence a pd100 mapped seems to bee the car
  8. was doin some drive play with a fabia but it definatly wasnt a vrs, obviously it had a ramap on it but it kept up wi me if it had'nt of been for the vrs suspension and alloys he would have done me, any idea what model it would have been im suspecting at least a 1.6 or something
  9. check EGR butterfly may be seized up or it may be clogged up
  10. so now i know the air con is working and i know there are no leaks cos my dad had one of those do it yourself air con kits so i used the pressure gauge to test the pressure and that was fine. Any thing else it could be im pretty sure its not the evap sensor cos from what ive read that would trigger a fault code in engine management any ideas ?

  13. seriously why are people buying these off ebay ive just seen one on ebay goin for 9 quid, ring a skoda dealer and they'll post u one for free. or one better go into a skoda dealer urself and pick one up off the shelf jese some ppl
  14. seems to be working now i twiddled about with bits like fuses and the witing on the actuall compressor, just need to see if it carries on working
  15. right guys as to my earlier post this morning i decided to spend my day goin to a garage and getting my aircon recharge bad news somethings wrong with my compressor, it does not seem to be working so heres the break down CHECKED THE FUSES ALL SEEM OK THERE IS NO DROP OR RISE IN REV RANGE WHEN THE COMPRESSOR IS SWITCHED ON THE GUY AT THE STORE SAID IT WOULD NOT HOLD ITS PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE THERE ARE NO FAULT WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH any advise, tips, previous encounters of this sort guys really dont wanna fork out 700 quid to get a new compressor fitted CHEERS

  17. got a long day off and dont know wat to do the vrs is pretty clean inside and out so am thinking of deep cleaning action, any suggestions?
  18. will i notice any particular gain from this DIY mod? i have also done the crankshaft pipe mod
  19. can i just ask to do an egr delete do i remove the pipe from the UFO looking thing at the top, or do i remove the pipe from the pluger looking thing on the rear side ill supply a foto if you could tell me if i have dont this right it would be hugely appreciated
  20. thats where im confused cos the one on the top dunt seem to do much when u excuse my wording 'suck on it' bit when u suck on the rubber connected to the plunger the plunger moves argh which one do i remove haha, i think we need to solve this and get some descent fotos up for everyones sake
  21. hi was wondering if anyone has a red fabia vrs with 16" STANDARD alloys that have been powder coated white im thinking of doing this but want some piccys first
  22. ok done this but just to ease my mind what does the rubber pipe thats connected to the side at the back of the EGR(plunger) do?
