my car seems to have a problem with it not agreeing with my passenger side driveshaft, i recently replaced the inner cv joint and since then it ran fine, until about 2 hours ago when it fell off and left me stranded at the side of the road. its done this before, but i got a vibration through the pedals for a considerable time before it fell off. this time, just "boom", landed on wishbone. bolts no where to be seen anybody know a way i can keep these little buggers in? i use new bolts every time, torqued up and everything, just disagrees with it some way every time. can i fit a nylock nut behind the gearbox flange without it fouling anything? or any other ideas welcome my plan was for more power, but if this keeps happening, ive got no hope :( thanks in advance guys, luke

Driveshaft Bolt Sizes
lukeanderson31 replied to lukeanderson31's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
nobody has any ideas then? -
just refitted a driveshaft to my furby, was all going good, done 180 miles-ish on it, all seemed well set off home tonight and i felt a strange vibration when i accelerated, pulled over, under the car, couldnt see nothing out of the ordinary so started to trudge along very slowly, all of a sudden, vrooooom, driveshaft fell of at the gearbox end. now it appears the bolts have probably vibrated out on the road, so does anyone know the length and pitch on the M10 driveshaft bolts? are they something i can get from the hardware/engineering place or are they going to be a "vw b*****d bolt" where there's nothing even similar anywhere? any help would be greatly appreciated to get me mobile again =)

i really want to, but its mega out of my budget, as i want slightly more "sportier" seats anyways
-
oh, thats not fair haha what seats can i use then? i wanted something that wasnt too ghastly, and the stansard vrs seats are abit too light coloured for my car really, i ride mountain bikes so the car tends to get mucky alot ideally, something that fitted with the green themed interior

basically, i wanted to know if the front seats from an octavia vrs, the half leather ones, would fit in my fabia? anyone know?

i've thought of that, but i dont really have dealership money atm :( -
my inner cv joint has developed play in it about a month ago, and im really struggling to find a replacement. ive been into two garages, had one ordered, using my reg number, and the same type comes through, its a large circular one, whereas the one on my car is rather narrows, and, to look at, looks asif it has a 'plate' to attach it to the gearbox. anyone know what i'm on about, id upload pictures, but im no good at this haha

im having problem sourcing a replacement inner cv joint for my car, ive tried andrew page and tey only have 1 listed, which is the wrong one, its not the thick round shaped one, it has more of a thin multi-sided shape anyone know the part number or where i would get one from without going to the dealer? thanks in advance, luke

marshall matrac fx tyres on the front of mine, good all rounder for the price, slightly softer than most in this price range so good on grip the eagle f1's didnt last me, i did 10,000 miles-ish, if that, and they were slick, great tyre, exceedingly grippy, but just dont have the lifetime imo i used ferrodo brake pads, thought they were rubbish, got bosch ones in mine now i think and theyre far better, no more fade! the mintex race pads are excellent, but only when they warm up haha, appaling when not hope this helps

bloody potholes! broken front coil and top strut bearing nearly had a blown out tire and broken rim too, was quite lucky imo, there's just some you cant miss :( i wish the council around here would get there bums in gear, i work 30 miles away in a different county, and i saw a pothole form, within the day it was checked and filled! need to wait whilst payday to make her road going again, but may be an excuse for a few upgrades edit: bad spelling
