  1. Apologies; I meant to say that all of our Skodas have had intermittent wipe with adjustable time delay.
  2. Well clearly I am insufficiently familiar with the somewhat disappointing vehicular transportation that's inflicted upon the proletariat All of our Skodas have had intermittent wipe. Even, I'm sure, our Fabia 1.2 Classic. Mind you that also had cruise control... It's our far from inexpensive MX5 that doesn't, though I'm sure the logic there would have been that adding the know would have added weight and would therefore have been the wrong thing to do
  3. I'm amazed
  4. Don't they both have adjustable timings (A)? Our Citigo does, though as one of our other cars doesn't I know it's not universal
  5. Not noticed that on the Citigo (may have to go for a drive to see), but my Superb goes from continuous to intermittent automagically when I'm stationary. Does your wiper stop completely or just go to intermittent? edit - just checked... If set to continuous, the wiper goes to intermittent when stopped. If set to intermittent, the wiper stops when stopped. Nothing about it in the manual though
  6. I don't get current Citigo prices. I paid £5.5k for a 2015 ex-demo SE with 3,000 miles on the clock in 2015. It seems like it might be worth more now than it was then!
  7. Other than the dimensions on the first post I don't have any schematics, though as it's basically 2 pieces of wood and some batons you can't go far wrong

On the basis of a strong recommendation on here, a Kitsound MyJack https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018G9FP4W I suspect the later myjack 2 would do the trick too https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071J7Y52F This looks remarkably similar to the original one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Receiver-Wireless-Microphone-Speakers-MeadHawk-Metal-Grey/dp/B086VZQG55 Pair it with a 90-degree adaptor so it's not sticking out and easily damaged
  9. Fair enough - I was going to suggest using something like Google maps in offline mode, so you put the maps on your phone using wifi at home and it doesn't use data when you're out and about, but that might not work or be available for you. As our citigo has the mk1 mount, I'll shut up now 🙂
  10. This might sound like a daft question, but do you have a smartphone?
  11. I'll pack a bag! I can't find a picture of a right hand drive Yeti, but here's a youtube video of a left hand drive one. It's the blue multi pin socket The RHD one is pretty much a mirror image, so the socket is on the same position but on the right. I know it's unlikely, but if there's anything plugged into it, unplug it!
  12. Ah that might be part of the problem, you need to get a better son. This is a long shot, but has anyone put an OBD2 dongle into the OBD socket under the dash? I spent ages trying to diagnose the battery drain on my Yeti and it ended up being the dongle that I'd attached to help me track down the problem...
  13. Can I suggest before anything is cut open that the connections are checked on the current plate to ensure that once the plate is taken apart it has appropriate voltages etc for whatever is intended. If it was me I'd still be looking to unclip the original wire from the radio and take it up through the dash hole and then working from there to either just use the phone holder, or set up a new wiring configuration based on something like the USB power adapter above.
  14. Ah well in that case it's not so hard... The cable to your current fitting can be disconnected from the back of the radio and pulled out. Then put in the new fitting and phone holder. You won't have USB but you'll have your phone set up as a sat nav!
  15. It requires a different wiring harness that's designed for the later radio, so to do the whole thing you need the harness (about £100) and a later radio (£?) I looked at it a while back and gave up quite quickly
  16. Right back from the depths... Having a bit of a garage clear out, I've got enough of the wood for the uprights and the carpet left if anyone else wants to build one all they'd need to add is the OSB and a couple of hours of effort. Free to collector from Gloucestershire/North Wilts
  17. I expect i got less for my diesel Yeti on trade in for my petrol Superb than I would have done if it was a petrol Yeti. How much less? No idea.
  18. Love the original roof rails, though the front on view looks like it has heavy eyelids and it's just about to drop off to sleep.
  19. Went out to play on some gravel. Well, didn't go out with that intention, because if I had I'd have left my luggage at home!
  20. Fitted the FOBO TPMS to the Triumph. For what it is it's very expensive, but the reviews are probably the best for these type of devices (though that might be from people justifying spending so much...) Took a bit of fiddling but all working now. I've got the BMW system on the R1200R and that's useful for reminding me that I need to pump the tyres up, and as the (tubed) tyres on the Triumph have a tendency the deflate a little more regularly, this should be a handy safety feature on that one too.
  21. Trying again with the horse
  22. Rode it and stopped to look at a horse <pic deleted as it doesn't appear to be working> And generally just admire the view
  23. No, not me. This afternoon the missus got me to use the Superb to transport a dresser that she'd bought sight-unseen from a woman on Facebook. I would have preferred to have been broken down though as basically she's paid someone for something they should have taken to the tip! Over the last couple of weeks there's been a fair amount of excitement about the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond edition with somewhat vulgar 007 branding and Bond embroidery. My Scrambler 900 Kingsman edition is far more subtle.
  24. OK, slightly premature as I've not exactly started it as yet, however this is here as a placeholder to make sure I get it done and done quickly. i don't want this project to hang around too long! The plan for the Two-Piece Not Quite So Variable Boot Floor is to have two pieces of wood that form the raised boot floor, with a join betwixt the two roughly half way back. Each piece of which can be lifted out if required, but the expectation is that the rear most section would be put in last/lifted out first. So far I've bought... the board for the new boot floor from B&Q and had it cut to size - 15mm OSB 2 board, 610mm deep for the forward section and 540mm for the rearward and both 1 metre wide. £21.83 all in. https://www.diy.com/departments/osb-2-board-th-15mm-w-607mm-l-1220mm/81234_BQ.prd the carpet, carpet glue and lifting handle from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ZA5VIRE £9.98 + £4.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DIRB7OO £6.69 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01B4WUXO0 £6.99 That's £50.48 so far I reckon one of these at £3.91, https://www.diy.com/departments/c16-cls-timber-t-38mm-w-89mm-l-2400mm/1798297_BQ.prd cut into sections and screwed to the underside of the OSB will give me the right height above the existing deck. If my measurements are right, the board should sit just above the lip on the tailpiece, and be slightly lower than the top of the lip. I'm intending to position the support battens on the front piece to rest against the front of the boot floor such that when both floor pieces are in place, the floor should not move about. Ignoring the cost of the screws and staples that I've got in the garage already, I'm expecting my TPNQSVBF to set me back just under £55 and a couple of hours of shaping, drilling, screwing, glueing and cursing. Ideally less time that it took to set up Skoda Connect and get that working. Well that's the theory anyway. I'll report back on progress (or go very quiet and hide in a corner if it all goes wrong). Whatever, nothing will happen before Wednesday when I get my B&Q discount ;-)
