No warranty on repairs when you do them yourself!going to take it out and stick original back into the car to see if the knock is still there,this way it may come under a parts warranty... Haven't had allignment done yet as theres only one place I've found in NI that do fabias and it's near a sixty mile trip each way! if the alignment was out which I'm near sure it will be after changing it, but alignment would hardly cause this clatter would it?

Wasn't the drop link took them off both sides and took it a drive noise was still there without them?...how could u tell if the console bush was worn out?

I had to replace the wishbone on my vrs last week,the replacement was an oem spec one the bush looked no where as good but I didn't have the resources to change them round so put it in anyway... A clunking noise has now started when you stand on the brakes,or hit a small bump? All the original parts were reused as I got just a bare wishbone with bush,all these were working 100% before, everything is tigth checked every nut and bolt 3 times now,swung on them all! The bush may have looked crap but surely it would have withstood more than 20miles? Calipers and everything else is tigth,the only thing I did notice is that there is abit of slack movement in the wheel before it catches on the diff(i think)is this meant to be like this?the drivers side was the same so I presume it is? Anyone got any suggestions?

Out of interest cause I have a clunking noise that's started aswell, does the noise happen if u brake sharply?

Had the same problem as you,needed a new wishbone got one outa the local autozone...on the packet it said vw polo o2> So I presume a bolt from a polo would fit...howcome you need the bolt aswell?

Has anyone replaced an inner tie rod on a vrs? have to replace mine....went to the local parts dealer and he said there is two models trw and koyo both have a 14mm thread on the inners(the part that screws into the rack) however mines is a 12mm thread,went back to the shop and he said thats the part number in the etc.... rang riund all the local motor shops and they all said they are 14mm on fabia's wtf? rang Mervyn Stewarts aswell but they are yet to get back to me...has anyone changed one and discovered the same?if so where did you get one?

When I start the car in the morning the oil temperature ligth comes on flashing and beeping, is this normal in the cold weather(be's -2 r -3 when i go to start in the morning) or are the glow plugs on the way out?

anyone with a similar problem the rear beam outa a ibiza tdi will fit 100%...

Im in need of a rear beam for the vrs, none of the local scrapyards have a vrs without side/rear impact...they have a few non-vrs with only frontal damage, would these fit the vrs? i no they must be models with rear discs...any information would be greatly appreicated..thanks theres one on ebay but as im in northern ireland the seller was looking two fortunes to post it.

Didnt think there would have must take a run out tomoro and get a look at them,was it handy to change it over?

seen that there now, would there be any difference in them from 04 to 06? theres two vrs's lying in the local scrappers but unsure of what year they both have just frontal damage...

thought that myself haven't really looked much at it as it snowing badly now,anyone have a rough price for a beam?

Was out driving tonite and hit black ice,frontend went abit then the backend just went rigth round,resulting in the back passenger wheel hitting a Kerb fairly hard.... Wheels bent back so that it's touching the mudflap(with 17s on) :( would the hub axle have bent or would it be the whole beam?difenately not just the alloy wrecked as the spare sits off aswell.

Any had their vrs remapped by Celtic or ct tuning as their called in Ireland, any feedback about them?

i had the same problem after getting the windows tinted passenger side handle came off everytime, ended up plastering the clips and surrounds with black silicone 4months later and it still hasnt moved!
