  1. OVERPRICED,OVERRATED this cano not come close to matching the YETI, look at some of the pictures that owners have posted there in no cpmaring the two.. One for the ladies that lunch me thinks,.,.. cannot wait until my beats arrives have been told that is should be in the UK by early next week,, MINI not in the same league..
  2. Like you i have a young child and am upgrading from a 2 door sporty car to something more pratical, i looked and dozens of cars before i read about the YETI i had never heard of it before so started to do some research. I have not come across one bad review on the car so went for a test drive. That was it was sold on the car and ordered it there and there without any hesitation. I looked at all the small family people carriers and nothing matches the practicality and looks of the Yeti, some people will not even consider it because of the bagde and i had my doubts to but you only have to drive one to see how well they are put together and they drive great... There is plenty of room in the back and with the felxi sitting there is more than enough room for thress adults in the back so two kids and an adult should be fine.... boot is noce and big and because the back is square you get loads of extra space above what the other people carriers becuase of the curved backs.. I ordere the 1.2 tse SE model and after waiting over three months have a delivery date of first 10 days in July.. Just read the posts about what people say about them thet are the best kept secret in the family car market, although the waiting time for delivery suggest that people are beginning to realise what a great car they are. Any opinions are gratefully received.
  3. I have also been told today that my Beats is built and awaiting shipment to the UK, currently in germany so should have it in the next two weeks. I ordere this back in April so not bad really as some of you have waited longer but a stupid wait for a car... But i am sure it will be worth it.. 1.2 SE Black no extras was the model i ordered..
  4. Another update from the dealer, the beast is currently in Germany and will be at the port by tomorrow, so it should be in the UK by the beginning of next week.. so he reckons once the paper is done i should get the car second weekend in July.. it's all happening today from not knowing if the car was ever going to be built to may have it in the next couple of weeks...i may even celebrate and buy my Daughter the YETI toy from the dealer...
  5. To my amazement called the dealer today and the Beast has been built and if not already on the way to be on the way by the end of the week, they are saying I should have delivery within the first 10 days of July....there was not hint from the dealer that this was the case the last time i spoke to them and it has been a complete surprise.. Not a bad end to the week England actually remomber how to play football and get through to the last 16 and the Beast is on the way... I am soon to be one very Happy Yeti owner..
  6. Been a while since i posted, with a ill child under two and work just not had the chance to check the web site... Well still no firm delivery date for my yeti and i am now getting to the stage where i am considering cancelling the order and going somehwere else, my current car is due for service an MST etc the end of july and if they cannot garuntee delivery by then i am not paying best part of £400 punds to keep this one on the road... Skoda really need to address this delivery time on their cars, to wait more then 12 weeks for even a delivery date for a car is very poor and the dealers never call i have had two convesations with the sales guy since April when i ordered the car... both of which i have called him for.. I read about how good the car is but if the pre-delivery service is this bad does not fill you with much confidence at all.... Maybe they will surprise me and when i call this week i will have a frim date but i doubt it... :-(
  7. Thanks for this Rod, nice to know that these are worth the wait.. if all goes to plane only a few weeks to go now......
  8. Think you mat be right about that, looking at other posts alot of people who ordered beginning of april have been told end of june for build delivery in july.. Maybe we will start to see more of them on the road all about the same time...
  9. have had confrimation from the dealer that the build date of end of the month is still current so delivery first/second week in july.... He seemed pretty confident that this would not change,
  10. Thats even longer then i have been told, i have spoken to the garege this morning and they are going to check to make sure that date is still valid,. Why do i have the feeling that the date may change...
  11. Opss. meant to say Build week last week in JUNE not july... going to ring the dealer today and see what he says.. have never waited this long for a car before..
  12. Needed to start this topic as i have been waiting for my new YETI since the 3 April and have a delivery date of the beginning of July but i have not heard from the dealer for over 5 weeks now since he left a message on my phone. After test drving this car i knew i had to have it, and the exclusivity of the car makes it even more special, but i am worried that this delivery date will slip and i will be wating even longer. This is to keep you updated on the progess and to vent some frustration as my current car has broken air con and only three doors ( have a 2 year old girl) which makes it tuff to get her in and out. The spec is a 1.2SE TSI in black with no extras, build date last week in June.. will update as and when i anything changes or i just need to vent my frustration

    Hi

3 weeks, how did you manage that i ordered my Yeti on the 4th of april and have been given the beginning of Ju;y for delivery.. Did you ask what they had already built and then order that.. Would be a stroke of luck that the model and colour you wanted was sitting on a car park somewhere... Very jealous i am desperate to get hold of my yeti
  14. Lucky you, ordered my yeti on the 2nd april have a delivery date of the first week in july , seems like 3 months is the norm for these cars.. There must be loads of people all waiting for these, reckon you will go from seeing hardly any on the road to seeing lots all around the same time. Hopefully they are worth the wait...
