it just pulls off Wayne there are four lugs one in each corner that the cover pushes onto lift one corner at a time you cannot break anything.if the oil cap was not tight then you would get oil coming out of the cap make sure its tight . bill

hi Wayne did you notice at what revs it starts and stops. if its between 1500-2000 its the dreaded vibration you get at these revs mines the same, some say its something to do with the air filter housing.have not been able to stop it on mine let me know if you solve the problem bill

you need to speak to shark tuning,phone 01623-332233 you buy the remap from them they then send there St's tuning box to you plug it into your ecu download your map and send the map to them they then tune your map and send it back to you online you then download the new map from the St's box into your ecu easy. i know i did this to my car works a treat. the best bit is you can put your old map back if you want to at any time. bill

Sorry too hear about your car, it a shame you did not have your taken to a main dealer as it had full service history i would speak to skoda as soon as passable ask them what is this best way forward. i agree that the belt should not go round the timing belt when it snapped, who fitted the belt is the question and when. bill

i had several bad experiences with sherlodg garage in gillingham. one they tried too make me pay for two alloy wheels that they said they would replace under warranty, two weeks later get a phone call from the a very pushy service manager trying too pressure me into paying £450 for the wheels saying if i did not i would have to return the wheels This is after they had checked the wheels and said they where covered under the warranty. i had to contact skoda uk to get them to resolve this which they did they are only ten minutes from me but i now use beadles in maidstonewhich takes 30 minutes but better service

hi Steve i had the same problem on my old mondeo sounds like you have a problem with your injectors.go to a garage and ask them to do a injector bleed off test. cost about £40-50 they connect four Little pots to the injectors if you are there you will see one or more fill up thats the problem this makes you car go into limp mode. when it does this if you just dip the clutch and restart the engine this will clear the fault. injectors cost from£10 - 2oo each i am afraid. bill

Thats not true regarding automatic headlight levelling system and washers. my wife mk6 fiesta has had hid lights fitted by me for the last five years and have had no problems with passing the m.o.t. i also fitted one off these kits to my old mondeo at the same time no problems at all with passing the mot. and very strait forward to fit as well takes aboute one hour too fit . bill

Wayne i can assure you if you find a good repairer they can put it right,my local man repaired my door when some one pushed a shopping trolley into the rear door denting and scratching the door at the same time when he had finished you could not see the repair.that mark on the roof looks like that was caused by someone clearing the snow of the roof probably with a broom bill

i think you will find if you zero the fuel return and just drive around town 26-28 is what you will return in town use.not 37 you will only get that from a diesel i am afraid. bill

Wayne take your car to a local body shop get find out what the cost will be from them looks like a dent docter and some spinning with a mop will repair most of the damage. bill

heated windscreen,sorry if your air con does not clear the screen in 2-3 minutes there must be some thing wrong with it.unless you have it on recirculation bill
