  2. hi the Columbus in my old superb was like that some times taking 2-3 minutes to start i video this to show skoda and eventually they replaced it. i had mine for 18 months really liked the car but the noise and vibration from the engine at 1500-2000 revs drove me up the wall just had to change the car.driving a new ford kuga now engine smooth as silk sounds more like a v6 diesel very good pity the skoda did not sound like this would still have it
  3. Any lane is okay drivers are required to be observant at all times when maneuvering. if you was driving a heavy goods vehicle you would have to be in lane 2 so that you could get into lane 3 with out putting the rear wheels onto the roundabout. bill retired hgv driver
  4. i had them on my superb i think they cost £250 extra the girls loved them in the winter.worked the same as the front ones bill
  5. just make sure you dont buy one with the engine vibration at 1500-2000 rev common fault with this engine i think. dealer said they are all the same when i complained. it will drive you up the wall well it did me over 18 months had to sell it in the end.but the best car i have ever had apart from that. bill
  6. have you checked the small link arms there is one on each wheel the small knuckle joint goes then they knock when you go over a bump. bill

  13. most probably the immobilizer by the sound of that i suppose you could try disconnecting the battery it wont do any harm might reset its self. make sure you have the radio code. bill
  14. i would like to see you use that hook with a heavy shopping bag you would hurt your back i think, or the hook would brake off, the superb hooks are better placed . bill
  15. on my old superb there was just a short lead coming out off the glove box not sure if it went to the back of the columbus or not. bill
  16. hi Skippy It never costs to ask they can only say no ask your dealer first if they wont help. speak to Skoda uk, from my dealings with Skoda uk they are normally quite helpfully.you should not be having problems with your g/box at that mileage bill
  17. hi Jake Afraid not Jake i tried so many things too try and stop the vibration but nothing worked.really liked the car as i said it was perfect in every way other than that vibration.someone offered the right money so i sold it. i will still be coming on the forum. i have bought a new mk2 ford kuga after looking round all the different dealers,awaiting delivery end of may. bill
  18. The vibration from the engine between 1500-2000 revs, it drove me up the wall. i was driving the perfect car apart from that dam vibration from the engine.thats why i sold my perfect car. bill
  19. just phone skoda UK and complain they will sort it for you and give the dealer a rollicking. bill

Sorry to hear you had trouble with the new car. good that the dealer gave you your money back.i dont have that option as i have already sold my superb, only in the autotrader for one week sold too the first caller for the asking price. i am having to wait till end of may for my new black mk2 ford kuga with all the toys again.the wait will give you more time to look round for the next car bill
