Picked it up this morning, still seems underpowered but will keep it for a few days before i make a final decision as to wether it goes back. annoyed that they put well over 100 miles on it while they had it, thats some bleeding test drive, front footwell also covered in greasy boot prints as well as drivers mat and front alloys were disgustingly filthy and a scratch/scuff on one wheel i swear wasnt there before, not happy at all and they also put a fuel filter in and charged me for it without asking.

Me too but the Breakdown guy didnt have much hope for me, he said here arent any traditional mechanics nowadays at main dealers, theyre all technicians and they only act on what a computer read out says, after he ran all the tests and reset the fault codes or whatever it came back as nothing wrong with it even though the ERG valve was sticking, he attached a manual vacumn pump and freed it off, he did all he could but he says its still 30-40% underpowered, he checked every single pipe for holes/wear and all were good, he then took it for a 5 mile test run on flat roads and only returned 5 MPG!!!!!! when i took it into the dealers this morning which is along a 5 mile route i regularly travel i only managed 26 MPG where i would normally get around 55-60 on that route and it struggled to pull in 4th or 5th gear so much so that i had to gear down to 3rd, im not optimistic about this one.

Not yet, took it in this morning and told they might not even get to look at it until Wednesday/Thursday, got a brand new Focus Sport Tdi as a loaner from Skoda Assist for now.

Just had the Skoda assist RAC technician at my house, he run loads of tests and there was a fault with the ERG valve which was sticking, he put a manual pump on it to free it up however it still doesnt pull like it should so he says it needs to go into the workshop tomorrow for investigation on the turbo itself as boost pressure is low.

Thanks guys, ill get it booked into my nearest dealer tomorrow/Tuesday hopefully a warranty item as well.

2009 1.4 tdi 80bhp, was getting 60+ mpg but last few weeks has seen a dramatic decrease in MPG and now performance, mpg yesterday on a motorway run of 30 miles returned 25 mpg at 60 miles per hour but wont rev past 3000rpm under load, today it refuses to go past 2000 rpm and wont go up a hill, even just revving the engine when stood on my drive is a struggle to get past 3000 rpm, only thing ive ever noticed on any previous car ive owned similar to this was a blown turbo, is there anything i can test myself thanks

Hi Guys, im using this box and its great on my 1.4tdi i took her out for a 60 mile jaunt last night from Birstall to Huddersfield on A62 doing a steady 30-35mph, then to Holmfirth, over the top and down to the pass and back to the M1 from Jct 36 and back up north, i hait 80mph over the pass and a steady 60-70 back up the M1 and i got a stunning 64mpg ave best £100 ive spent and it gives it a power boost as well, no flat spots and instant throttle response

Hi guys, a mate reccomended a £99 chip box and its works a dream, car is super rersponsive and has a real kick when you put your foot down and im now averaging over 65mpg having done approx 300 miles with chip box fitted

New Skoda owner here, i own a 2009 Fabia 1.4 II TDI 80BHP Level 2 Only bought it 2 weeks ago and seriously impressed with how it runs, currently at 13,000 miles, im not overly impressed with claimed MPG figures, i get about a combined 50mpg and im seriously light footed whats everyone else getting mpg wise my day routine is 5 miles to work at 30mph at 5am, no traffic, 1pm return with a fair amount of traffic, then i usually fit in a 10-20 motorway jaunt at 70mph
