Cars a octavia mk1 tdi pd 130 on a 04 plate just dont wana spend full amount on full version and dont use it that often.

Just a quick one can these cables and provided software of ebay read/clear codes and turn afew options on/off like locking after 10mph,i know theres no support on this from ross tech but dont want to invest 300quid+ and only use afew times also do they they crash when auto scan is activated as usb connection.

Thought it was not related to suspenion or bushes etc as it made a slight squeak on startup(vibration) so just moved bckbox and there it was just need to sort now but im sure something else will pop up lol.

On closer inspection looks like its the rear exhaust bracket glad its nothing major.

While driving with window down noticed a sqeaking noise from rear when driving along more so when you go over bumps,when i parked up pushed down on rear with no noise so rocked from drivers rear door and it made the annoying sqeaking noise. Gona do a quick service over weekend so what should i check to see what could be causing this.

Noticed awesome also stock these so if its an easy mod might bob down to get on as local to them.

Noticed tonight interior light not working from pass door,works from all other doors also noticed the light in door card of same door not working. Any ideas on problem are the two related.

Did a quick search with no luck how do mod it to fit.

No noise when car bounced the noise is more a humming sound sorry should of explained noise better think it may be power steering pump .

While sorting my battery out noticed some oil around and under the egr area shown in pics also checked oil and its really black i know it has certain oil but my mate said it needed changing just need some advice. Also when i turn wheel say 70 percent of full lock when turning round corners slowly i can hear a creaking noise does it both directions and only when traveling slow.

Battery gone and need another soon as,any chance anyone in the manchester with a spare battery for a octavia tdi could bob over tonight as need car for morning will pay for battery and time regards

Okay thanks to responces think il leave until a mk1 comes up but if i decide to go for an aftermarket double din one this would be fine as long as iget cage,iso lead.

Put 12quid in car when petrol light came on think it was just over 10liters now on 99mile and its come bck on again worked it out at around 48mpg is this okay?? driving wise done around 35mile on motorway and rest round town dont acc hard and change gear at around 2k car is a 04 plate tdi 130. Comp says im av 51.3mpg but i suppose these cant be 100% also what mpg can i expect from motorway as comp said i was doing 65mpg at a steady 65/70mph when i done 64mile on motorway need to know as may have a new job which is 64mile eachway and got to see what diesel cost i will pay.

I know aircon leaks as it has a drain plug on pass side on the bulkhead as i thought my was leaking,coolant,just watch when u park up and check to see if its cold or warm or run with air con off to see if it still does it

Need some disc and pads soon car is a tdi 130 so what size do i have and can i upgrade discs in size if i get calipers etc,

What a relief as only had car afew days and thought the honeymoon period was over!! will prob keep eye on coolant anyhow as used to own a rover 4 headgaskets lol thanks again for replys.
