clutch pedal something snapped (help) with pictures
stu40 replied to stu40's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
so i got the pedal off put new pictures up that show the pedal the bit i have circled snapped off looks like the welds have snapped .what a pain getting the bolt out because the steering column is in the way but i got it out aventually so i think i will turn the bolt and nut round the other way.the haynes manual says to use a screw driver to dislodge the spring while depessing the pedal but think this would work if the retaining clip is still in it but my one had snapped so had to take the bolt out which will make the pedal move about then move the pedal so you can get the bolt out .hope this helps if any one else has this problem stu http://my.imageshack.us/my_gallery/ -

That red light i think is the security light for headunit if you take fuse 11 out you may get 3 fault codes 01299 17978 18058 when i took mines out i got them i just erased them so everthing ok .i have just poped the dash light adjuster wheel out and disconnected it the dash lights and headunit and climatronic did not come on so try and see if its connect at back of switch or get a loan of one and see if that solves it good luck
-
hi raf i posted a picture of the wiring diagram for gavla cradd just tried what you posted but my dash lights are still coming on but the dash warning light not coming on with fuse out so my be the roller switch is knackered or the bulb is out .but if the bulb is not working should that affect the radio and climatronic from lighting up stu

What a pig of a job, had to remove the front grill just under the licence plate could get my arm up there but couldnt do much so had to take the bumper off what a job getting the three screws off at the bonit sorr thumbs and scratches all over arms (yipee) next thing had unbolt the lock which takes t40 torx socket which i had to go and buy and buy a set frok b&q £14.98 for a set, eventually got the left one out as you look at the car which then gave me room to push the bonit up for enough room for me to get the other one (horay) bonit tied down, grill intact now all i have to do is figure out how the stupid wire goes, anybody got a picture of it cheer. stu!
