  4. Fantasy green saloon that would be the holy grail
  5. I’d have the perfect doner engine for the Yeti shell too 😛 3.6 v6, not much power but it would sound so good
  6. Beauty’s, My old Y Plate 1.8t is still going strong up here localish to me

  8. Mot passed the other week and just been on a nice 400mile round trip all on one tank of fuel, quite decent for a big car.
  9. Finally got the reverse camera wired in the XTRONS one didn’t work for some reason, so brought one that has the number plate light in so a lot neater works perfectly straight away
  10. Started with an audio/headunit upgrade as I wanted CarPlay for Waze and Spotify as I use them pretty much every trip. Went with the latest Xtrons android 13 unit, a little non oem for me but it’s a nice looking unit. Fitted it this afternoon and pre done the wiring for reverse camera add on which will be a great addition. To finish later on. Only fitted the gps aerial with it as I won’t be using the built in 4g capability. Wired in a usb to next to cigarette lighter for charging my phone. Seems to work great out the box the sound quality is much improved, all steering wheel controls/park sensors/ac etc show up as original.
  11. New washer bottle cap in the style of the later Skodas with the built in funnel but found a black one 😁 also took dash apart a little to fit dashcam as I don’t like the wires visible where possible just required a little hole drilled under climatronic panel that will never been seen to feed wire through
  12. Must be I’ve looked at some other superbs for instance the 1.8tsi fwd manual is 1608kg 1629kg with 4x4 and Passat r36 is 1715kg so deffo is the 4x4 big brakes, dsg and the extra two cylinders
  13. Had the old girl on a weightbridge today a big hefty lump at 1720kg with 1/2 tank of fuel and also just ticked over 140k the other day
  14. The car had always had a wierd dead spot when initially turning the wheel, that didn’t inspire a lot of confidence. I had a good lever around the other week and found the rear wishbone bush on the drivers side was knackered and could be moved up and down and it’ll stay there, so ordered a pair of wishbones and changed them both. safe to say the drivers one was knackered as it nearly fell out when removed 😲. Hopefully all good for the foreseeable now except maybe a wheel alignment as I had to drop subframe to do them. I shall see how it drives . some pics
  15. Looks great on the original alloys
  16. Front bevel box or transfer case oil changed this afternoon after work, very awkward to fill up as the fill it right next to driveshaft under the shield for cv boot, glad I won’t have to do that probably ever again , That’s all the major oils done now as the gearbox had only been done 20k ago
  17. really haha I don’t miss the blue although I did think about the newer style blue one thats fold out with a funnel, cheers for commenting
  18. Throttle body had a good 24hrs to dry so fitted it All back together with the ecs intake pipe and racingline panel filter, I did contemplate getting an induction kit but as it already has such a good oem airbox it seemed a waste, shares the same airbox as tts and rs3.
  19. Also started on a little tart up job as I’ve just recieved my Ecs intake pipe and racingline panel filter. I felt like having the throttle body black would really go. Cleaned up inside and out and hand brushed with some high temp black enamel. Already to go back on tomorrow once it’s cured, have four new genuine bolts and gasket, then just a throttle body reset to do. wasnt that dirty inside but had abit of residue.
  20. Got some wheel bolt covers, I much prefer these over seeing the bolts
  21. Notice a while ago the rear xenon level sensor had pulled out the balljoint, had a quick 5 mins this afternoon to play with. The bottom ball joint was very stiff so lubed that up and freed it off and with abit of heat on the ally bar and it pushed back in nicely, I’ll keep an eye on it but it shouldn’t pull out unless I let the suspension get full droop again so should be good.
  22. Cheers Steve i love it to bits it’s a great car, love driving it.
  23. It is a rare beast but a crazy factory engine that Skoda were allowed to fit. It’s also found in Passat cc, r36 and very similar version in the 3.6 vw Touareg although a lot more common in the USA market
