Price dropped to £2400.
-
I've got loads of history with the car, all the handbooks, service books etc, folder full of receipts for work as well as old Mot's non of which needed any advisory sheets.
-
If anyone on the forum wants the car i'll let it go for £2500 but I can't go any lower, just need it sold asap due to space etc.
-
I need to sell my mb6 as well! As soon as that's sold I'll deffo have it! Just don't want that sat around, if you know what I mean!
No worries
-
No worries, just give us a shout as the car is just sat around now till its sold
-
Have you got both keys?
Sadly when I bought it I was only given the one flip key for the car.
-
What's the s/h like?
Service book is stamped upto 83k and I've got a lot of receipts for all the recent work, so its got a fair amount of history.
Also cambelt was done at 107k.
-
Was meant to have someone coming to look at the car yesterday but that was a no show.
I've now got my new car so need this to go to a new home so I'm open to sensible offers.
-
Right just another quick update lol I've taken the car to the garage today and they read the codes etc, it came up with just one code which was 17704 P1296 (CTS or thermostat) now I mentioned to them that car had the CTS replaced end of last year so they checked the connections etc and cleared the codes and the car finally has no more light on.
Ignition on...
and started up running on tick over...

Hi Danboy.
Would you be available for viewing on saturday?
Thanks

Looks a nice tidy car & thats a fair price too.
Thanks, I'm losing quite a bit of money tbh, but I think in the right hands it should be a good car, I've just got myself a 07 Golf TDI so can't put anymore money into this now, but it still puts a smile on my face to drive
Just to add its had the following items replaced in the last 6 months, all 4 coil packs, new MAF, CTS, lambda sensor, diverter valve, front discs and pads, wheel bearing and ball joint, silicone breather and boost pipes, Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on the front, Bosch aerotwins on the front, it was serviced a month ago usual good quality parts, I've got a folder of receipts too.

Right then I've now got a new car now so I really need to sell this as soon as, in the asking price I'll include the stereo which is a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD and some Pioneer custom fit front door speakers and tweeters, these alone were £500.
I've been using the car all week and its been running and driving fine, its never let me down in the whole time I've owned it either but I don't have time to be swapping bits over etc to retrun it to standard.
Any questions I'll be happy to answer

Hello mate do you want to sell the milltek ? Cheers Martyn
Oh and the head unit?
I might consider selling them although I don't have the standard exhaust to go back on, the Miltek has only been on a couple of months.
-
Right then, I've just taken some pics this evening of the car, now it currently has uprated front door speakers and double din head unit which will be coming out unless I get given a good offer for as the car will have its standard head unit and autochanger.
The cambelt was done by the garage I bought it from at 107k I think it was, its MOT'd till August and taxed till the end of July.
-
I've pretty much lost interest in this car so i'm offering it up on here before i trade it in.
2003 Octavia 1.8T vRS in silver, hatchback, 114k with tax and test, usual vrs spec plus rear parking sensors and cruise control, I've also fitted Audi TT 18`s which are genuine and a miltek non res system, its had loads spent with lots of new parts, only bad point is engine light is on but the car still runs fine etc, hence the price.
I'll add more info and pics when i finish work but check my blog for info till then.
£2650
Car is located in Northampton.

Ya your aircon is on press the econ button it should be reading econ and the air will be off then...
Ah ok, I'll try that and see if they go off lol
-
Hmm don't remember this doing it before but started up my 03 vRS earlier today after replacing some breather pipes etc and the cooling fans seem to always be on with the engine running, doesn't seem to matter what temperature the gauge reads but they are constantly on and won't seem to go off, any ideas??
-
Finally had some free time today so made a start on the pipes.
Todays progress looks like this...
Sill got more to do and not managed to connect the breather pipe at the bottom yet, letting my arms recover first as they are a tad sore and scratched, I'm defo not cut out for working on cars

5W 40 full syn is the correct grade as thats what I put in mine recently in an oil change after doing a lot of checking, you can use 5w 30 though and I read that the 10w 40 semi syn causes the sludge issue.
-
i will see if i can find them on ebay.
cheers
Have a look here http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/creationsmotorsport_com/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

looking good dan
where did u get the kit from?
im thinking of upgrading the standard hoses on my octy vrs when ive got the money
that kit u got looks good quality
I got all the pipes from Creation Motorsport who advertise on ebay, the quality seem top notch and not a huge amount of money either, plus they are quick to send out the items.
-
Had a delivery today...
Just waiting on having the time to fit them all and going from there.
-
Hmm as rain has stopped play for me fitting this pipe and plus it looks an arse to do, I've now just ordered up 2 more silicone breather hoses plus a 5-piece turbo silicone hose kit as I'm better off uprated the lot I think, and I'm hoping that should make things a little bit better for the car.
-
Hmmm I'm oh so tempted lol, a new intercooler with new pipework may help with some of my lil issues...
