  1. This has been mentioned a number of times so maybe a search would give you some more detail. Basically you have to pivot the centre chair on its little legs as per the manual instructions - if you do this it wont fail the rear of the centre console.

cheers, I will have to have a look in daylight ,never been one to admit defeat and "read" the book...:-)

  2. reckon that was the same car that i drove back in april this year.

had it on test for most of the afternoon.

i had made my mind up by the time we got to the two bridges roundabouts but went for a good drive anyway, just to be absolutely sure, you understand :giggle:

was it one of you two who "borrowed" the fluffy yeti from the back seat?

my missus had her name on that.

thanx by the way, saved me the trouble of "losing" it at a later date.

they really are a good bunch at palmers.

my yeti is the 2nd car i've bought from them and i'll be going back for another when our fabia vrs is up for changing.

i'll be keepin an eye out for ya owly

Ha ha, yes I saw the "fluffy one" @ the croxley car show but it had dissapeared by the time we had our first test drive.. Unfortunately SWMBO did see it so I had to cough up some money to get one :-(

  3. Good call - I have done that with the last two Fords I purchased.

Online Gap Insurance is definately the route IF you feel the need AND you dont have to make your mind up straight away.

I took the GuardX option and they did a very good job, time will tell "how good"....

  4. The Black Night, 110 SE,. does not have corner fogs and does not have Auto position on the light switch.

It does however have day time running light's apparenly a requirement from next yr

Has anyone else noticed that the day runner is actually BETTER than "dip beam" ?

  5. Excellent news. Might bump into you there at some point. I put a picture of mine in the main pictures thread

Out of interest, if I were to buy the LED boot light (x2) LED upgrade thread would yoou be interested in buying one of them? It makes the cost £15 for each of us instead of £30

    Let me know

Thanks for the offer dave, dont quite feel the need but looking at the photo's in that link the boot does look better with Both installed so you would not waste your money.

  6. If I remember correctly this is identical even in colour (apart from the registration!) to the one I had for a test drive at Palmers. I liked the colour but was too mean to pay for a metalic, so opted for the midnight blue (Pacific) instead :D Which I'm very happy with.

Yes, you must have tested the same one as me, that was the 140 elegance, they wanted silly money for a secind hand car.

Asyou found out they are so easy going ,no hard sell. I took the car on two test's and I can now say there is very little difference with the 110 over the 140...

  7. Just click on the "Insert Image" icon, to the right of the smiley and then put your url link in there.

I'm just up the road in Croxley and should be collecting my Tangerine SM from Nottingham on Saturday. I'll keep an eye out for you in the area and give youo a flash :)

:-) Good luck Dave, safe trip, it's going to be a long Friday, 11am @Palmers,.

  8. You guys have convinced that the only way to do this is to go get her myself... why should i give anyone else the pleasure apart from my beloved wife the oppertunity to drive theSM (still thinking of a name for her... not the wife :giggle: ) . thankyou for the heads up on discount rail fare web site havent been on a train in years ... thought for a minute there that i was going to have to take the megabus down and try and get across London by bus or metro... :S  . Got Monday off next week so going down then . I know its a little longer to wait but it will give them time to prep the car properly... Pleased to say that the old Honda aint going to the scrappys ,she'll be handed on to one of the kids as a first car . No point in wasting a good car is there now ?( Tears in my eyes when i hand her over). Any way onward to the future of happy motoring Skoda Yeti1.2DSG SE In Pacfic Blue here I come.

Enjoy the trip ,my son has just driven off in our old Rover 1.4 (honda civic) and we pick up the Yeti 11:00am Saturday, its going to be a LLONNGG Friday.......

  9. Congrats Nightowl, we will expect to see some pics of your new arrival as soon as there is a break in the bad weather :D

    Psst,

Just had a read of the Help section re uploading photo's

where's the gallery tab, I must be going blind with the exitement ????

  10. WHAT!

    Its awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only you knew how they marketed the car..........

They never mentioned about the seat folding function or the fact that the car has won numerous awards, they just hired the lady married to a rich old man who owns the breeze center shopping mall (you can see it in the advert) to stand next to it.

ITs marketed towards female idiots and every time i see it i want t sell the car!.

The one thing i hate most is the 'whoops i farted' expression on her face when she first pulls out...... seriously WTF was that?.

Its just the most unclassy, trashiest way you could sell a car here in Taiwan.......... and that says alot.

    You did'nt like it then ;- 0

  11. Must admit I cant wait to get behind the wheel,.

dealer reckoned 2/3 wks to reach me from build, fingers crossed

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::D:thumbup:

    The Black Night has arrived.

Sitting at Sheerness, Waiting for a lift to Watford.................

  12. I tried that with my local dealer and they refused point-blank. They then spent the next ten minutes slagging off DtD (and webuyanycar.com), telling me that DtD weren't able to supply the car at that price and would simply refund my deposit after it had been sitting in their bank account for six months.

Needless to say, I've now ordered a Yeti from a broker (not DtD, as it happens) and it all seems to be going well so far. Oh yes, and a saving of over £2,600 compared to the dealer!

    57A

Must be a regional thing, Palmers Skoda Watford ,Only too happy to cut the deal AND throw in a free tank of monster food....:-)

Oh and was was that I hear, 5.6%apr...............

  13. Two queries regarding an order my Grandad is about to place for a yeti! The first one is Drivethedeal offer the best price by far, anyone used them before? Anything to watch for? How does the pay for the car ultimately, when its ready does he send a cheque, or bank transfer the money to the dealer? With the deposit he pays, does that get taken off the final price DTD quote?

Finally, there are options for two types of standard trim, Onyx/blue and Onyx/silver, does anyone have any pictures of these two, are there many differences?

Many thanks guys, now I'm back to hide with the Octavia Drivers, this is foreign territory to me! ;)

If you are at all concerned about online purchase, do what I did and show the quote to your trusted local dealer and tell them to match it, SIMPLE..

they can only say no, but I suspect that they wont.

  14. Morning all and hello.

Hope this isn't too a contentious first post, but looking at getting a crossover in the next few months.

Saw a Yeti on the road and absolutely loved it.

Loved the colour (Muscowotsit), loved the shape, loved the practicality. Popped into the Skoda dealer in East London and had a bit of a fiddle with the nobs - loved them too. Especially that huge, great touch screen. All set and ready to go on an 1.2 DSG Elegance in Cappuccino when something really annoying happened.

I discovered the Mazda CX-7. 265BHP (OK, I know the tax and fuel consumption will sting...but 265BHP!) 2 year old ones are less than £15k - have one spec level, so all the kit. Literally. Bose, reversing cameras, leather, air con etc, etc...

Anyway, to cut a rambling post short, has anyone had any experience of the CX-7 or considered one before getting the Yeti?

Couple of questions you need to ask yourself,

    1. If you want a 256bhp vehicle WHY look at a 1.2 Yeti

    2. What do you want, a medium spec second hand car or a Bloody good value New Car.
