No its an aftermarket one thats been fitted to the side of the centre console!!!

Hi all, Can anyone help, i brought a 2002 51plate vrs, however when accelerating it gets to about 2000 revs and then shoots to about 4000/5000 then drops to about 2500, i took it to a garage and the man said that it was a slipping clutch and quoted me £350 all in to fix?? So my questions are- 1) Is that what the problem is?? 2)does my engine have a duel mass flywheel and if so does that need replacing as well? Thanks Jason
