  1. Well, I lost contact through the MySkoda App to my car! The car had lost all profiles and; CarPlay although showing on the start page just went blank when selected! Tried setting up my profile but it kept returning "Unable to load user profile". Tried the factory reset in "settings" - no joy! Contacted Skoda Support and they responded on a Sunday! Their solution a full factory reset - 1) Reboot the Infotainment panel by pressing & holding the power button for approx. 15 sec until the Skoda logo appears. 2) Open the Infotainment menu in your vehicle 3) Continue to the "Settings" 4) Then click on "Factory settings" Pleas note that this will delete all stored personal settings (paired phones, favourite radio stations, user profiles, etc.) and also remove the user profile / user (ŠKODA ID) from the Infotainment. Then please enroll the vehicle with your account again. However, it took two attempts, first I input my credentials and it went to "Unable to load user profile" and Car Play did not work; second attempt it went straight to my profile and everythiong back to normal! Still have no idea why the problem came about - I did have an "over the air" software update last week, but the system kept working for the week before this problem! So, well done Skoda Support "Simply Clever" They saved me a trip to the Dealer
  2. Thanks Guys!
  3. Thanks guys! You learn something new even at my advanced years!
  4. I never really trusted High Beam Assist , but I find it useful when I forget to dip my beams - I've had them in other cars - my Merc Eclass being the most reliable! When I set HBA, under streety lighting lights remain on dipped, when out of sreet lighting main beams comes on, approaching headlights (even high intensity and doing more that 30kmph)? - Nothing! still on high beam! Go back to street lighting - switches to dipped! Bloody Useless!
  5. So, TPMS showed loss of pressure in a tyre, inflated all tyres to correct pressure, reset the TPMS and cleared the fault shown with OBD11! But Vehicle Health Report in the MySkoda App still shows "Loss of Pressure Detected"! I deleted and reinstalled app still there😠
  6. Hi Although I've no trouble with my Navigation and how it worrks here's a shot of a random street near where I live showing that according to Skoda(VAG), Germany won the war as England is now in Deutschland!
  7. It does have its anomalies! If I’m on a National speed limit 60mph, but I set the speed to 50, when it hits a 30mph it slows to 20! But if the speed is set to 60, then it slows to 30! Other than that it’s great on motorways, dual carriageways and national speed limits single carriageways when you can actually safely drive at 60! And yes sometimes the TSR will pick up a traffic sign that not relevant to the road you are on! I got it enabled for the times I’m driving long distance and it’s proved itself worthwhile!
  8. I had my L&K Superb (on a 73 plate) done by EastYorkshire Retrofits both TSR and PACC last week! Cost me £595! Was it worth it? Yes probably, we were on holiday in Whitby at the time so I didn’t have far to travel to have it done, but on the journey home to Stratford Upon Avon it proved its worth! Incidentally on the drive back from Bridlington to Whitby PACC slowed me just in time to avoid a mobile speed camera! My wife couldn’t believe the chances of that happening!
  9. Thanks all, it’s not absolutely necessary, I’ve got Waze and Sygic but it would be great if the speed limit was shown in the virtual cockpit! You would think Skodas premium (L&K) offering would have included it as standard! Mind you, on both my Octavia and Corolla the TSR was not always that reliable, and on both often defaulted to the map info which was often out date, and sometimes when I joined a motorway the last speed limit before joining was shown and did not change until an overhead matrix showed a speed limit!
  10. My mistake - i'm digitally compromised - it 's a 2023! Just wishing I was 10 years younger!
  11. I know that in my 2017 Octavia VRS I could use OBD 11 to activate TSR, but in my 2013 Superb L&K this is not shown on the OBD 11 menu. The question is why?
  12. We saw the recent Hamlet - set on a boat! So how do you perform a graveyard scene on a boat? But it was still a great interpretation! I admit I just put the adaptive cruise on 50/60 and just relaxed - I use my grandad slippers on the not so loud pedal!
  13. Well, I'm back in the Skoda Fold - after a few years with a Toyota Corolla that replaced my Octavia VRS (still cannot fathom why I did that!) - I've replaced the Corolla (it was noisy and uncomfortable - but full of toys!) with a 2023 Superb L&K petrol! I live in Stratford Upon Avon but picked up the Superb in Bury St Edmonds! On the way over the Corolla achieved 62mpg on the way back the Superb achieved 54mpg - not too shabby! As I only do 5/6000 miles per year - economy was not the driving force but comfort (which the Superb has in spades) and quietness (much improvement) The Superb has all the toys (including winter pack) but strange, no Traffic Sign Recognition -but as I use Waze and Sygic it's not a problem (even with the Octavia and Corolla TSR was not always perfect)
