  1. I imagine that import duty and VAT would eat up any savings made by buying from the US. Doesn't apply when in the EU.
  2. Cheers for that albutch, that looks like the one to me.
  3. Sorry, I don't want to swap out the interior and sell separately.
  4. Hi all, Sorry but couldn't find this with a search. Does anyone have the part number for the latest bluetooth module? I'm looking to install this into my 2009 vRS LE with Bolero and pair it to my iPhone 3GS and my wife's Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. I believe the latest module has the widest support for phones. Any advice on where to buy cheaply also appreciated. Cheers for any help, Dan
  5. Still open to offers everyone and the car is still very much for sale. Thanks, Dan
  6. Thanks for the interest. bluebrakes, let me know how you get on selling your's and if you're interested still. albag999, PM sent. Thanks, Dan
  7. Hi ihpj, Thanks for the interest. The first owner had it for approx. 22 months and 13000 miles. Please feel free to make me an offer if the number of owners isn't too big an issue for you. Cheers, Dan
  8. Hi Fletch, Perhaps my Fabia vRS with full leather interior would be of interest to you? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/184724-2006-skoda-fabia-vrs-with-full-leather-and-extras-12-months-mot-now-included/ Thanks, Dan
  9. The car has now passed it's MOT, so the MOT will now expire 17/01/2012 (I got the day of the month wrong at first listing it as 16th). The current mileage is now 70,030. We have no further plans to use it other than test drives so mileage shouldn't change much at all. Just to reiterate that the car is cleaned and ready to be picked up. I have loads of invoices for servicing and MOTs to back up the service history along with the dealer stamped service book. Can I tempt anyone to make an offer on this great car?
  10. Still looking to do this, any ideas of prices for the kit and fitting?
  11. I never replied to this, oops! The first option is 'MFD' so when pressing the Reset/OK button it was quitting the menu, the other options allow you to drill down into them. It's not wonderfully clear what all of the options do however in my opinion, could do with a manual! Thanks for the help.
  12. Cheers for that John, that's exactly what I had in mind. It's an expensive setup though even for two non-powered holders, the proclip and the move clips coming to about £75!
  13. Hi all, Does anyone have a Brodit ProClip for the Octavia mk2? If so, is it very simple to switch which holder you use with the clip? Just wanting to switch between two different holders fairly regularly, not sure if the holder simply clip onto the clip or need to be screwed on. Cheers, Dan
  14. Hi Mr White, I've just taken some photos of the wear on the bolster. You'll have to excuse the photos, it was getting dark and so I had to use the flash I'm afraid. Hope it gives you the idea though: I'm afraid the seats aren't heated - they don't take long to heat naturally though It doesn't have cruise control either, although I believe it's perfectly possible to retro fit should you want it. I've seen a few threads about this on the forums here. Let me know if you're interested and would like to arrange a viewing and/or make an offer. Thanks, Dan
  15. I'm going to get it booked in for it's MOT this week so the car will now be sold with 12 months MOT.
  16. Those insurance quotes don't seem to add up, the new Fabia vRS is group 27 insurance (new group system) verses group 18 for the previous vRS. Not to mention the extra cost of a brand new one and the additional risk that brings with it. matt_tdv6, please feel free to PM an offer to me. I don't want to stray too far from the asking price but I'll consider any offer I get.
  17. Is no one interested in this? We love it and really don't want to sell, but a second child on the way has forced us to go for an Octavia. It'd be great to find the Furby a new loving home.
  18. I believe it will stay on until you reset it after topping the tyres up. In the Octavia, I have a button which looks like ( ! ) which you press and hold until it's cleared the warning light. This tells the system to store the current reading for use in future comparisons.
  19. I have inflated to 2.1 bar at the front and 2.2 bar at the rear (as per the guidelines). They do all seem to drop over a week or two to about 2.0 bar. I haven't left them long enough to check if they will deflate further. Perhaps I need to over inflate initially and expect a little loss. It sounds like I'm not the only one noticing this anyway. I shall be keeping an eye on them. Maybe I'm just being over cautious as this my first car with a tyre pressure monitor.
  20. Hi all, In the three weeks we've had the Octavia the tyre pressure warning system has set off a warning twice. They all seem to be losing a little bit of pressure slowly. The temperature probably hasn't risen above -4C in this time so I'm wondering if it is related or if it could be the issues that have been reported in the LE register thread about the LE alloys. Has anyone with a non-LE vRS experienced the same issue? Anyone any thoughts? Cheers, Dan
  21. For sale is my Skoda Fabia vRS with full leather interior and AUX in connection (iPod and others) for stereo. It has been well cared for in the three years that we have had it and comes with a full Skoda main dealer service history, just serviced, good Bridgestone tyres all round and tax until 31/05/2011. First registration: 17/01/2006 MOT until: 17/01/2012 Tax until: 31/05/2011 Current mileage: 70030 miles (still in very light use) Full Skoda Service History, last serviced at 68272 miles Bridgestone ER300 tyres all round with 7mm on rears and about 4/5mm on fronts (all replaced in April 2010) The car has the following over and above the standard vRS specification: - Full leather interior - AUX in for stereo - recent Bosch Aero wipers - Halfords spare bulb kit (minus headlight) In good condition with some minor body marks and some kerbing to alloys, mostly the nearside front which is fairly bad. The interior is in good condition with the only bad points being some wear to the leather on the driver seat bolster and some indents from our son's car sear in the nearside rear (despite using a protector). Service history all at D M Keith Ltd. in Huddersfield: 05/02/2008 15951 miles inc. brake fluid and pollen filter change 18/08/2008 26440 miles 14/04/2009 37117 miles 30/10/2009 47995 miles inc. cam belt change 20/05/2010 58220 miles inc. brake fluid change 22/10/2010 68272 miles Total of 2 owners including myself, I bought it at just over 13000 miles. It has V5C present as well as two keys and no finance secured against the car. The car is located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Please phone (07813 796363), email or PM for further details, photos or to arrange a viewing. Looking for £5750 £5600, open to reasonable offers as I need to sell.
  22. Wow, okay fair enough. I do think it's unsafe from the point of view that you're not aware if you're running low before setting off. Running out on the motorway with spray could be quite dangerous. I'm really surprised that this isn't fitted to the Octavia, despite the much older Fabia having it.
  23. Hi all, My wife was driving the Octavia yesterday and ran out of washer fluid without any warning. Our Fabia has this feature, does the Octavia not? Or could the sensor be faulty? This would seem a strange oversight on the newer and higher specced Octavia, not to mention unsafe! Cheers, Dan
