  1. Couldn't agree more with you Nick H. He's getting a wee bit boring !!
  2. Speedman - don't get me wrong. Absolutely love the car and sure you will as well. It has most of what you could want and easily matches up to, and beats, more so called " luxury cars ". You can however see from above comments that I'm not alone in being slightly disappointed with the performance. Guess we'll have to see what you think when it arrives. Hope you don't have to wait too long !
  3. dstev2000. - you've completely floored me with your comments, but also confirmed what I was half expecting/dreading to hear. I had the chance of a 220 TSI at the time, but opted for the diesel. Oh dear, what a mistake by the sound of things. Cheers anyway.
  4. Now done 1500 miles from new. Feel the engine is a bit unresponsive for 190 bhp. Just wanted to ask you guys if I should give it some welly to help loosen it up, or should it be the sensible option and let it bed in slowly ?
  5. Sorry Oldgits, but did you do the bumper protector yourself. I load a wheelchair in regularly, and eventually bound to do some damage.
  6. Beautiful car Oldgits. Just wished I could have stretched to the sunroof. Much jealous. Enjoy !!
  7. It certainly does Sagalout. Many thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.
  8. Thanks Sagalout & Felis. Forgive me, but how do I move the menu " up " . I know I'm sounding thick, but just can't seem to do this. Thanks again.
  9. My right hand side scroll button is OK, but for the life of me I can't get a proper reading on average fuel consumption. It fluctuates between say 12 mpg and 95 mpg, constantly moving and then. - - - ( no reading ). Is it something I'm not doing, or is it a fault ? Many thanks for any advice from a great forum.
  10. I picked up my moon white estate 3 weeks ago. It just happened to be sitting next to a candy white estate at the dealer. The candy white is definitely creamier and softer to look at. Whether or not the cost of metallic is worth it, is certainly arguable but I love the pristine appearance of the moon white ( at least when it's clean. !! ).
  11. Have a go with bicarbonate of soda. It's usually pretty good for absorbing smells ( says he hopefully ). Best of luck anyway.
  12. I know this sounds daft, but for the life of me I can't cancel the pics of three seats on small centre screen. Sure it's to do with rear seat belts, but if no one in rear, the symbol is still there. Grateful for any help. Thanks.
  13. Hi Dave - as a disabled driver with a disabled wife, I can reassure you that you could not choose better than a Superb Estate. I will be picking up my third Superb on Friday, and can't wait. Mine is a 190 bhp diesel estate auto S.E.L. The space is humungous, and we have a boot hoist for my wife's chair, and an electric transfer seat to assist her from chair to car seat. I also have Jeff Gosling hand controls fitted. The car itself is spacious and extremely comfortable with electric driver seat and boot opening. If you need any fore info just let me know. Cheers and good luck making your choice.
  14. Thanks very much Ray. Guess I'll be busy loading up the music. Much appreciated -- K.
  15. Hi Folks -- I know this will sound a bit naive, but whatever I do, I can't get a regular cd to copy into hdd. I fact I can't get the HDD panel to become " active ". I'm sure it's just me, but any step by step help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -- killie97
  16. Thanks for that Davy -- don't feel just as daft now. Cheers.
  17. Hi All -- I'm a disabled driver from Ayrshire. Got my new Skoda Superb Combi Elegance DSG 170 hp CR Diesel in Aqua blue two weeks ago, and absolutely love it. I'm guessing it might be the only one in Ayrshire at the moment, unless of course, you know different !! -- Looks as though I've blown the fuse for headlamp washers already, as I tried to wipe the windscreen during that really frosty weather and now they just don't work. Will change fuse asap. Can I just ask please ?? -- what exactly is the Maxidot ?? -- I've trawled through the manual, but can't find any reference to it, and just wondered if I was missing a trick somewhere. Thanks in advance for any help, and look forward to keeping up to date on Briskoda.
  18. Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm also disabled, and unable to lift from ground to sill height of estate. However I can " tip the chair up " and slide it between front and back seat which is great. Got the estate so that we can go out with other able bodied couples who can lift chair into " boot ". Thanks for the welcome, by the way.
  19. Hi -- have just ordered a Superb Estate 170 CR DSG. Have found it's the only car which has enough space to load my wife's wheelchair between front and back seat. This was a relief, as I'd been trying to find one for ages. After reading the forums, guess I'll have to wait for what seems to be almost six months. You'd think they would step up production, even if just to get more seen on the roads.
  20. Hi -- I am a disabled driver, and have just discovered that I can fit my wife's folded wheelchair between the front and back seat of a Skoda Superb. It is a huge space -- bigger than any other car I considered. Ordered a Superb Estate DSG 170 CR, Elegance mid-August, and cannot wait for it to be delivered. Please let me know if other disabled drivers like this car.

  21. has not set their status
