Morning all, I hope you don’t mind but I am going to jump onto the back of this thread as I have a oil question and I can't find the answer and I don't want to start a new thread. I used to drive a 03 passat and she was a PD engine so PD oil OK all good…now I drive TDi vRS FL and I have no idea if is she a PD or common rail I thought she was a PD but the people I talked to last night said they think she is a common rail…… Anyone? So anyway I am off away soon and I need to know what oil should I take with me when I go away? Thanks in advance x

When I picked mine up she had conti's on her and I do not like them at all I have always had Mitchi....so today Evelyn (my vRS) is having her first set of NEWWWWW SHOOOOOOES Michelin pilot 3 sport £150 a corner fitted from Costco and from the 13th I think they have a offer on for a full set 20% off but I can't wait need them now Last year I was going to the ring in my old passat....two new tyres on the rear and in 100yard I get a flat.....nail through nearly stopped me from going as seh had 19"'s on and no where had them but happy days got one just in time

Welcome to briskokda....I had a similar problem with my passat SE 1.9 TDi drove all the way to The Ring all good....then 100 yards just through the cones and no power limp mode had kicked in :( drove all the way round and then dumped the car for the week....got her home and it was mass air flow sensor, had sold the car to my mate by then but he fixed it £50 If you switch the car off and back on do you get boost back? that's what I did all the way home from Germany as soon as I took the boost up and then it dropped she went into limp mode, didn't stop carried on the Mway switched off engine and back on again and it reset her and she was flying again. Still did the full trip home on a tank well 50 miles left to refuel
