Its Petrol the FL new engine chips realy well according REVO 266 BHP and 313 Ft Lbs of tourque from stage 1 cant be bad I have seen stage 2 Older TFSI with loads of mods that can't get that amount of power. so might no go al the way to stage 2 Anybody running a FL on 19" wheels if so does it need lowering?

Just ordered a new Vrs in race metalic blue with a full leather interior, maxi dot, and rain sentative wipers and auto lights. Got it for 18k otr Now just need to sort out tuning thinking of going to JKM for a full stage 2 kit with fuel pump. Any body got any other ideas for a decent tuner in the south? Went and had a look at the ford focus RS but 30k is just to much for a car!

I am in the same place right now needing a new car after my beloved MK1 \Vrs has been wrtten off my short list was Octavia MK2 \Vrs Seat Leon MK2 Cupra K1 Golf GTi MK V Audi A4 S Line TFSI Focus ST Mazda 3 MPS After much deliberation I now will not be shifted from the Octavia MK2 \Vrs for the money I don't think it can be matched:thumbup: just need my insurance to pay out! the resons the rest were dicounted The Cupra's dash is just plane fugly and boot is a little small The Golf is over priced and boot is to small the Audi very nice but seriously over priced Focus ST very nice but very thursty Mazda 3 MPS did not like the interior I currently have a Golf GT Sport Diesel on loan from my insurance company the interior is very drab and dark. The handling is very composed much better than my old MK1 (not driven a MK2 yet and I hope it feels like the Golf) Chris

Since my beloved MK1 Ocatavia /vRS is now a rightoff I have been looking at a MK2 /vRS to replace it! I have always had decent stereo system in all my cars I spent yesterday recovering my Apline CDA-9997r and rainbow components, sub, amps from my old car at the scrap yard where it is stored. Anyway the standard speaker locations on the MK2 to don't lead to a very good SQ install and I not sure that a single DIN head unit will look that good in a MK2.:thumbdwn: Now the MFD3 / RNS510 / Columbus looks to be a very nice unit however it does not have the expandability I desire i.e. the use of Aftermarket Amps subwoofer output channel and you have to pay extra for bluetooth and iPod intergaration. So I have been looking at aftermarket systems, I looked at the cheap Ebay systems from China and I think the old adadage you get what you pay for springs to mind the GUI's look awaful quit low res screens the iPod interfaces on the better looking ones attach to the front so cables showing, no RDS need I go on umm not for me. Now after much trawling of the net I have stubled acress a German manufacture buy the name on Zenec they manefacture some very nice looking systems indeed however they're not cheap and you could buy a MFD3 / RNS510 / Columbus cheaper! The unit that has caught my eye is the ZE-NC2010 it looks similar to a MFD3 / RNS510 / Columbus but has the expandadbilty I am looking for as well as having a CK5050+ Bluetooth system from Parrot intergarated in it, High resolution 1440 x 234 (336960 Pixel). The iPod interface looks one of thae best I have seen by far, the navaigation is based on iGO8 and also incudes TMC (Traffic updates) the GUI looks great possibly even better than MFD3 / RNS510 / Columbus Here is a link to the PDF from their site describing all of it's features I am thinking of taking the plunge asoon as I get my hands on a MK2 the best price i have found so far is from Alpha Car Audio @ £874 WDYT Chris

Well I think I am pretty much set on a MKII Octavia vRS in race blue 200 Bhp soon to a bit more if you know what I mean;) been to several dealers over that couple days let's hope I get my payout ASAP

Hire car should be here tomorrow I would like my payout ASAP but I think everybody does in my shoes. I still not sure on the Cupra I need to see the dash in the flesh if I buy one it be new so I know what life it's had. Now if could afford it I would like a Focus RS but @ £24K it's a bit steep :eek: So I will probley look a a face lift MK11 vrs

Thanks everybody for your concern nobody was injured althought I still keep see her turn hard right in my mind into me:rotz: she had the ordasity to blame everybody but herself, I had plenty of wittness's to it; I just hope that the insurance company gives me enough to clear my outstanding finance, so i can start agian. The car was in emaculate condition 55 plate I owned it from new and had 48K on the clock by looking on Skoda's used car site I think it's worth about £6.7K on a forecort and I shall battle for the best money possible

I was driving towards Cirencester on the A419 going past Swindon following a silver MR2 we both passed a lorry then MR2 cut in infront of the lorry only to find traffic emerging from a slip road the MR2 then turned hard right and I mean hard right 90 degrees to the road in front of me I had nowhere to go and crashed straight into the side of her. The Police have charged her with carless driving! If I had not hit her I think she would have crossed into the other carigeway. I did my best the keep my car in a striaght line . my only injurys are a burn to right wrist fron the airbag and stiff everywhere may passenger has lower back pain and we are both shaken up. I have attached an image to show the damage:mad: after looking at the Leon dashboard it's fugly don't know if i can live with it Octavia is much better. Anybody no where the best deals are the best I have found so far is £15.5K for solid colour vRS brand new

Yesterday I was involved in a major RTC looks like my beloved MK1 vRS will be written off. So what to buy a new vRS or I quite like the look of a Seat Leon Cupra K1 as it 240 BHP as standard and remaps to 300 BHP with stage 1 from Revo WDYT?

i think it looks beeter than the MKII can't weight intil next year when i might be able to buy one:thumbup: and the full leather looks realy nice but the only colour to have whould be race blue:)

So DES will this be a sensible car or will you go for even more power than the Red Devil:eek: my origianl thought were the MKI looks so much better than the MKII the touque of the TFSI is what a would like. after having a ride in MAKEFISH'S old car it was AWESOME:) who needs more power than that it was driveable and very quick and he did not spend multiple thousands to get that amount of power it was what I call a sensible MOD:thumbup:

does anybody know if its been done? or if its even possible:confused: as this engine seems to have way more tunning potential than the 1.8 T 20v

mine is remaped Mk1 and we had a little race some time ago and he could not make any progress on me but ridding in it it just feels quicker and the low down torque is something else if anything i would call it lazy quick.

and does anybody know where you can buy the wing in the picture?

i went out in my mates Focus ST yesterday with a Dream Science map on it boy that car just re-defines the word torque and I thought my octavia was was quick! want to have a go in a Focus RS now

had it up on the ramp and it's a bad exhaust blow around the mainfold

today whilst driving quite hard my turbo seems to squeal and makes a fluttery noise could this be a boost leak or have i got a big bill on my way:mad:

mine vRS dislikes V-power as it does Tesco 99 it jerks and hesitates like a pig!:thumbdwn: I only use Esso Super unleaded and it's a smooth as silk and i get better MPG on it. mine has a revo stage one remap and can on long runs on the motorway give me 40+ MPG my average is 36MPG and I don't treat it with kidd gloves!:eek:
