  1. S/S is a dreadfull feature in my Audi 3.0TDI, starting and stopping this lump rocks the car each & every time, this and extra delay when pulling away is vey annoying to say the least, I try to press "that" button now as soon as the motor starts.

S/S on a powerfull car is daft, you pull up to the line, see a gap and your engine stops, "great".   For the more fuel wary "eco" vehicles it makes some sense, but you should get the choice to enable it or not in the menu's.

I have tried perm disabling it, it appears in multiple section in VCDS, but I never fully cracked it.  It would be perm alarming in the MFD or reset itself upon locking, unlocking and startup.

Rant over.....  Keep pressing the buttons   ;)

  2. This any use? Not my work, but I had it filed ready to try when my next car turns up

    (1) Temperature Method
These instructions were sourced from the Golfmk7.com site. Grateful acknowledgement to the author "Allenlin" who has said that the VCDS tweak was developed on a 103TDI. Allenlin has produced a short video which shows that SS has been disabled (see the link below) I have implemented this tweak on my mkVII, and I can vouch that it works.

  3. They are short, I've got them extending ones in my Audi now and they help a lot, much more reach adjustment on the steering also allows me to get further back from pedals too, no leg room left in rear now, but the Superb would have. The superb seat did go back enough but I got upper back issues because the steering wheel was too far a reach, so I had too cramp my legs up. The A4 is way better for my 6ft-ness but you would probably think the Superb be better looking at the length of it.

  4. IMHO the ride is on the Superb is on firm side, but don't forget most of the ride quality issues are the poor state of the roads we have.

In comparison I thought the ride quality was and like a transit van when I drove a Yeti, I was very dissappointed.

It's all very much a personal thing, try & get the dealer to lend you a demo for a couple of day as a comparison? make sure it's tyres pressures are correct tough.

  5. Still available, someone said they wanted them, then they just dissapeared off the face of the earth.

These are "as new", they consist of 6 screens, "the rear window is two parts", they are in the original bag and have the 6 clips for the rear door fitting.

So, if you not got tints, these are a great alternative, these cost me £101, so hows £60 sounding?

They can be collected from Swindon or Reading, I don't have anythng to post them in, and I'm sure the Royal Mail will put a fist through them if I did (sorry posties).
