Mine is what I would deem as pretty laid back and it remembers the position just fine. Be worth checking it with dealer as like said above, thier is some Skoda advisory notice kicking about for this.

I thougt you could get an "after market" add-on unit that has a small ariel you place in the front windscreen? thought I'd seen them on Fleabay?
-
I think you need to go compare it to a Ford and cheer yourself up.
It's understandable that an Audi has a better build quality, it should do for the money. I agree the leather is not top-notch and the carpet is cr*ppy but my Superb is the best put together car I've ever owned.
I don't think the quality is too far behind Audi but it's better than a Passat IMHO. If you want and expect Audi A6 build quality, dig deep and go get one? I for one, will keep my Superb and relish in the fact that it's **** loads less money than a car I would like but I can't actually afford.
I might also point out, that NOBODY has ever been less than impressed when taken for a spin.

They will be the same

Try a search, explainations have been on here before

Yes, they come with tape already applied.

I've done a few "brisk" journeys now, across country like on A & B and never noticed it, they were over the Cotswolds so plenty of crests & dips. Perhaps my DSG overcomes it or masks it?

They won't care, they got your money now.

All the info is in this thread, inc. stupid questions from me.

BTW, the new Fr & Rr ones have 3 locating pins that you just pull off with pliers and I got the wheel caps off without taking wheels off. Just drill a 5 or 6mm hole in the centre of them and put some tool in there and lever them out. I used a "T-bar" allen wrench.
Use a plastic trim tool to gently prise off the Fr & Rr ones, take your time centring them though, as once you've commited to it, they will be stuck, there's no going back.

Posted so you can see what they look like, I love them so "knocking'em" is pointless.
I believe they are more modern, classier looking and look less like a zit, so £50 well spent IMO. I do apologise for the dirty car, can't wash it due injury.

I've fitted a bonnet seal to mine using an expanding tape, it's like a heavy duty gap-filling, draught excluder used in the HVAC industry, it stops most of the crap getting real well.

Do you have to take the wheels off and pop out the centre badges, or hook them out with the wheels in situ?
-
Thanks guys, I've ordered a set.

Found it to be rather pointless in my 170TDI, don't seem any quicker just noisier and more rev's for no real reason. I expect it makes a difference to petrol models though with thier power made higher up the rev range?
-
Never heard it in mine
-
What about this Front/Rear difference with the serial numbers, still confused?
-
Maybe a typo, soon as we get confirmed I think I'll b ordering some. Perhaps some advice how ro remove the old ones would be nice?

With 4WD and DSG

Mine indicates a different level of oil, dependant on what side of the dipstick I view, Taking that into consideration, it may have used a litre in the first 18k

Nicer interior and the spec of the Elegance

Nowadays chrome trim = thin piece of foil encased in plastic

Mine was about 7% on the happy side too, but VCDS sorted it.

The answer to the question is, people that can't be bothered with this crap
