Well just been out to check after 2 days of car being parked in garage and - flat battery :( I've taken fuse out from between battery and stereo so there's no current going through the wire so if it's flat again tommorow i'll know it's not the stereo wont i?

Had to be silver for me - (6th silver car i've had) - ok doesn't stand out as much but then i didn't want it to. Silver is the best at hiding scratches, looks good when polished and doesn't look dirty as quick as other colours

I am now a Fabia vRS owner (not 56k friendly)

Was this the damaged / repaired 1 on ebay? -
What a waste of time - car had to be left all morning and when i went to collect it i was asked why there's a wire to the battery. I told them it was a live lead for the stereo (alpine 4x60w) which has to be wired direct, i was then told it was the stereo draining the battery? I said this stereo has been on 7 or 8 previous cars i've had and wired the same way (as alpine instructs) and have never had this problem, i said the only drain from the stereo when the keys are out is for the station memory (should be same as standard stereo?) - and that was that So every 2 days if i don't start the car i'm gonna have a flat battery - now why hasn't it done this before (been ok for last 3 months since i fitted stereo)
-
Mine was the same when i bought it used - i looked under the bonnet when i got the car home to see where everything was and i spotted it (don't know how Horners missed it when they did the supposed full service?) It was a tight fit with the origional hose clip so i replaced it with a jubilee clip

Called into dealers - rebooked for tommorow morning They say it's covered under warranty but have to make sure it is the battery at fault - well at least it's saved me a few quid at halfords
-
I'm going to call in to the dealers tommorow, just wanted to know beforehand really so i could argue the case if they say no
-
Does anyone know if the battery is covred under warranty? - mine has died (almost - i have to jump start it now) Cars 1.5 years old and done 34k - i know aftermarket batteries usually have a 3 year / 100k warranty

I had to use wire wool to get rid of the rust on mine
-
I think it was just the R-Line ones with th silver base?

Dentmaster charges around £60 per panel (no matter how many dents you have in that panel) - DONT try to pull it out yourself or you'll stretch the metal
-
Have a look on ebay as there's a lot of tyre dealers selling on there cheap
-
I used to deliver to Triple S (also known as Cat) when i did multi drop - nice guy to talk to. I asked about having a set of 17" TT alloys done and was quoted £40 - £45 per rim which is about the same as a refurb but should last longer? The only thing was it was a limited choice of colours
-
You'd then have to make a cut out for the exhaust
-
Sorry - looks like my trim - it slides over the standard pipes and clamps on here's a link for the Skoda accs - http://www.skoda.co.uk/skoda3g/content/showroom/accessories/accessories.aspx?model=fabia&category=Exterior%20Styling&subcategory=Exhausts%20and%20Exhaust%20Trim
-
Thats the trim i have for sale - you can just make out the fixing clamp bolts - looks identical to the VRS standard trim
-
This trim is to fit a twin pipe rear box, i suppose you could slide 1 of the fixings over your pipe but i'm not sure if it'll be central though?
-
Have you got 1 or 2 tailpipes? i have a genuine Skoda brand new oval trim to fit a twin pipe tailbox (looks same as VRS) - this just clamps on
-
I have a genuine tailpipe trim (oval like the VRS) which is to fit a twin pipe silencer if you're interested (brand new in box) - £20

Have a look on Ebay -

I swapped my wheels over last weekend and checked the brakes - all the edges were rusted so i cleaned them with a wire brush (edges) and sprayed everything else with brake cleaner BTW - i took a previous car to Kwik-Fit for a free safety check, they stripped the brakes, cleaned everything, coppergreased them and refitted - still FREE
