  1. No sadly only got to drive the diesel 170 which, though good for an oil burner, lacked about 90bhp and the 4 wheel drive. Best thing to do is test drive a second hand one , there are a few on the Skoda site, or just call James and hear him "Big up" the V6.
  2. Sorry to hear of you mishap At least cost is low Cant see video, Facebook says unavailable :(
  3. Hi Niggie Have one on order, due to arrive in next couple of weeks You are right about discounts, got mine for mid/late £20k. I got loads of extras because I intend to keep a loooong time and want to enjoy to the max. Deprecation is only an issue when you come to sell, so don't!! Try Drive the Deal or the like, ask your dealer to match, if they can, or call James at Allams a call, he always appears keen to do a deal.
  4. I was always clear But am pleased that you now are as well.
  5. Ok I will speak more slowly Ray, just for you If you allow park assist to park the car without taking care and monitoring it, there is a far greater chance of a mishap then if you are in total control, as in when you park normally. Even the normal sensors are only there as an assistance, only a fool would rely on them totally. I am not suggesting that you WILL hit the kurb, just don't rely on it to park you in complete safety.
  6. I'm not suggesting that Park Assist won't put your alloys in peril, just saying that it's a mechanism, it doesn't make decisions and it doesn't account for wheel positions, just physical outer corners. If you know and accept that, your alloys should remain safe (as mine have). Ray Which is why I said WATCH your alloys, not it Will Kerb them.
  7. Just watch your alloys as park assist puts you into the kurb :'(
  8. Looks great in two-tone paint lol. Don't like the blue bits, some kind of parking aid
  9. True, but would like mine to arrive while the weather is so nice, just a couple of days without the need to clean that black paint would be great!
  10. Oh stop this I was fine waiting for another couple of weeks for mine, till you lot started this
  11. You lucky Sod!!!!!!!!!! :p Enjoy it in the weekend sunshine. Where are the photos?
  12. Hi I my current Audi was an ex demo so I had no say in options. My 3 big regrets are the lack of heated seats, no memory on seats and no paddle shift for gears. All sorted when my V6 arrives early next month . Paddle shift is great fun when you want to play but can be ignored if you just sit in traffic. Plus I think 3 spoke looks better.
  13. I think mine will be first, the drivers will be fighting to drive my V6 Just so long as they drive it VERY carefully and don't exceed 2500RPM Waiting for James to tell me when it arrives in Uk, the race is on!!!!!!!!!
  14. Mine due late April, already asked James to register mine from May 1st, got to get the most out of my £750 year one car tax!!!!! Sure James told me still comes with the umbrella.
  15. Hi Scott I was also a Wk 14 build, so spot on  hope you get the good news soon.
  16. I will do, but still several weeks till delivery. Prob start a new topic when it arrives.
  17. Hi Sorry to shout but THE BEAST IS BUILT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had a email from James to confirm the birth of the Beast, I am a happy man Now just don't damage it on the way to me.
  18. Hi Search this forum for Gestec (sorry don't know how to add link to here ) its in the V6 exhaust & spoiler kit topic. Sounds
  19. Looks Great Mate Love the 4 exhaust pipes :p My Black V6 due to be built THIS WEEK!!!!!! Please Mr Skoda no delays. James is great at keeping me updated and answering my increasingly stupid questions
  20. JAMES Fresh meat!!!! Seriously give James at Allams a call and see what deal he can do.
  21. Hi Congrats :p You must be a proud Dad! My little beast is due to be born Wk14 so next week Interesting your dealer said 2 weeks till delivery, James at Allams told me Wk 14 build should be here Mid May!!!! , wish he had sent on 1st April. I have only been waiting since 22nd Jan so only 68 days so far , admire you diesel peoples patience (but hay I guess you need patience to drive a slow car lol) Hope the next couple of weeks fly by
  22. [ P.s. White is best color for superb :p I'm in love with this car Congrats on your new car, it sounds great, your only mistake is not getting a Black one Look forward to the Pics of your new baby.
  23. Hi My criteria for a replacement for my Audi All-Road were quite simple: big estate; auto; 4 wheel drive; ability to tow a caravan; space and enough power to make driving fun and not cost too much. Looked at Audis, which I love but cost too much, £42k for same spec as my V6! Looked at Mercs, as above V expensive both to purchase and service. Looked at used Range Rovers now they do like a drink and go wrong a lot! Looked at secondhand BMW M5 touring and Audi S6 (cant tow with RS6) very tempted and test drove the M5 but while very rapid did not like the SMG box plus no 4 wheeldrive. So to the Superb, to get all I wanted the only option was the 3.6 V6 (man logic). I felt the 140 would lack power, no 170 available with 4wd and DSG plus 6 months wait, then the icing on the cake, VAT free (well 20% off petrol cars) that sealed the deal. Now I know its not The most economical motor in the world but as I only do about 10k miles per year, have use of two other cars (wifes Fiat 500 great for town work) the MPG is not a major issue, consumption about the same as current Audi and no problems with diesel filters clogging or dealer using wrong oil. Also with the Massive cut in fuel costs post budget now even less of an issue!
