Hi all, I wish to firstly state that I think this site is absolutely fantastic and there is so much information about all things Skoda ! ( Often too much ). I am currently waiting to take ownership of my second Skoda vehicle, a 2012 Octavia VRS CR Estate, Around 12 months ago I traded my 2010 Octavia Estate 1.6CR TDI Elegance for a BMW 320D.... biggest regret ever ! Spent the last 9 months regretting it. Forgot how well built and lovely to drive a Skoda can be until I test drove my new car. I notice that there a number of members who have retro fitted a number of upgrades to there vehicles and this is something that I would like to do myself. The new vehicle has the following upgrades ; - Factory fitted Xenons and headlight wash MDI Auto Dimming Rear View mirror and Auto Rain Sensor Alcantara Leather with red stitching I`m looking to retrofit the bluetooth module under the drivers seat, as this looks fairly simple to do myself. ( May need a friendly helper to assist with the coding of this - anyone in the Greater Manchester Area ? ) I would also like to retrofit rear parking sensors with the optical parking display appearing on the head unit ( like my last vehicle ), but this looks to be quite involved. In addition, I would have liked to have had MAXI dot and MFSW, but don`t know how difficult these are to fit. Anyone about to fit any of the above retrofits to their vehicles please let me know, as I could volunteer my time to help, in return of gaining knowledge/experience to fit mine. ( Greater Manchester Area ) I welcome any suggestions on simple and best retrofits that anyone can suggest and look forward to contributing to the wonderful motoring world on Skoda !

Have had car back from Simpsons - Colne follwing a squeaking suspension problem. I did make them aware of the TSB on page 1, however this did not relate to my vehicle. They road tested the vehicle and also noted the squeaking noise. They have lossened and lubricated all the suspension points/mountings and a further road test has stopped the squeak ! I have had the car back for a few days now and engineer appears to have sorted this fault. Full marks to Simpsons for a great service and have restored my faith in quality dealerships. I now intend to take out a service plan with this dealership, even though its an hours travel from my home address. Service manager was Garth Nazurally

Just purchased first Skoda car - 2010 Octavia Estate, 1.6CR TDI, Elegance. Bought from Simpsons Skoda- Clone a few weeks ago. Vehicle has this fault which is very annoying !!!! As it doesn`t squeak all the time. Only noticable over some speed bumps, of which there are many in Stockport. Car Booked in for examination next Monday, fingers crossed........... Hope Simspons Deliver, as I have reccommended them to a number of people who have asked about my new car.

Just wanted to say what I great site this is.I have now puchased my first Skoda and fully intend to remain loyal to such fantastic vehicles !!. First purchase was made at Simpsons Skoda - Colne. A trek from Stockport, but worth the journey. Very impressed with the salesman ( Mathew ), simply arrived late Sunday afternoon and after asking to test drive two vehicles, he simply handed over the keys and away I went. This was in total contrast to Lookers in Stockport, who are new to Skoda. The salesman was unable to answer basic questions regarding the vehicles I was looking at and had no idea about the products. He informed me that the caps in front of the headlights were blanks...... They were in fact headlight washers! Also Simpsons offer on my PX vehicle was slightly lower than lookers but decided that I preferred a quality established dealership. Had my 2010 Octavia Estate - Elegance for a few weeks now, however it has developed a squeaking noise on the front suspension going over speed bumps. It is really frustrating and does not do it all the time. I have tried to replicate at different speeds but have not been able to. Seems to be worse when its cold. Anyway vehicle wil be going back for exmaination next Monday... fingers crossed for a solution and my faith in a quality dealership will remain ?????
