  1. Thank you, cable is already on the inner side. Now the problem is how to route the cable to the trunk. I ordered tools (Amazon) to remove inner trim, as the cable came in nicely under the dash near the hood release (LHD) and I began to put it under the plastic part under the door (base pillar ?).
  2. So with the battery in the boot and no ballast at the rear, I think the front /rear weight ballance will be unchanged but about 20kg lighter. With an added lightness of a weight drop (my body) of 5kg the acceleration goes down by 2msec 🤩 . The air filter box is is also changed (lighter), battery tray replaced by connection plate. In the trunk I had to add the Polo/Ibiza battery mounting assembly. Concerning corner speed, with the 245/35 on 8.5" ......... no difference. Maybe the rear axle of the Fabia R2 evo will bring improvement. The biggest improvement (day/night) was changing the front brakesto 300mm i.s.o. 288.
  3. The famous 25kg I removed from the back of the VRS
  4. The cable used in Ibiza and Polo GTI is 35 mm2, so I ordered 5m of them. I'll (try) send some pictures of the "work in progress".
  5. I measured 9.5mm with the insulation, copper diameter 6.65mm, so radius 3.325, is 11.05 square time Pi = 35
  6. The diameter of the insulated wire or cable is: 9.5mm
  7. No answer to my question? How to bring the 35mm2 from the motor compartment to the interior, behind ECU? other suggestions ?
  8. On our Fabia 2 1.2 HTP (69hp) the fuel indicator stays always on full. I disconnected the connector under backseat (pump assembly) and it doesn't change. Problem behind the dash ? Broken wire/connection ? Erreesse
  9. With 100k KM, I solved the usual TSI-(CAVE)-problem by replacing chain, waterpump, camshaft gears, and so on. Refurbished the 8.5x17" (BROCK) rims new rubber (Hankook 245/35) on it, and I had to add 15mm rubber extensions. A intake kit from RacingLine. 25kg of iron blocks came off under the rear bumper, so to compensate I want to move the battery to the boot. I ordered the mounting hardware from a Polo GTI, as this model with the same engine has the battery in the boot (Ibiza too). So I toke all the mounting parts away and made an isolating plate with the sam width of the battery, added material, a threaded rod, 2 poles (for a lithium battery) so I could mount the fuse block (to +)and a copper bar (to -) only to hold everything fixed. Now I need to pull a 35sqmm cable from the starter to the boot! The question is: how or where can the cable pass through to the interior, before I ruin the dash and carpeting?
  10. As I wrote, it is all stock. The remapper told me the CAY-engines (75/90/105/...) are basically the same. The problem is under 120ps the exhaust temperature is not high enough, so with short journeys the DPF can not regenerate and clog. The remap is done almost 2 years ago, and never an engine problem, no X-mas trees, no stalls. For my daughter (with her 4 kids) its a dream to drive the car (VW Touran 7pl), and..... less fuel consumption, even with wider tires (235/45R17).
  11. Sorry for the delayed answer (my English is not that good, so I had to read the quote several times). We received 3 times an official letter and went to the dealer. Before the "emissions fix", they´ve made the annual service and then a flow device was installed. They loaded the new SW (6938) and it went wrong. "Sorry it is not our fault, but the car was mistreated before" ???? After a few weeks with an undriveable car we went to a respectable chiptuner who loaded the same "new Emissions Fix" SW (6938) in to the ECU and removed the "Flow Device". On the rolls for power measurement (92PS), half an hour later back on the rolls and 20 minutes "laptop play", with a nice result: 158PS !
  12. The car of my daughter is a Touran 1.6Tdi CAYB (90PS). After the famous factory (dieselgate) remap, the car was unmanageable and showed a X-mas tree on the dash. A remap on dynamometer resulted in 158PS (156BHP). Now it is a marvelous to drive
  13. @KombiVRS: ask already these company Hartogtuning.nl ?
  14. Thank you Ken and sorry I was a little bit blind.
  15. Awesome, breathless ......... But were is the base from, I mean does it come from a VAG model (which platform/engine) ?
  16. Rob, The indicator relay works properly with the wright current. On a classic system if one of the bulbs is broken, the flashing rate doubbles almost. So the current was only half of normal. LED current is too low. erreesse
  17. Hi, maybe here http://fabiar2.com/ENG/service/parts-prices You can download the catalog
  18. Richard, when I see the picture with the broke piston rings, it's hard to believe that the cylinder surface is intact. Otherwise the solution is to bore to 83mm (Wössner pistons) eq. 2510cc.
  19. A beautiful and good car. DSG7 is the best transmission box you can dream of. 50000km without any trouble about DSG and oil ........ ok max 0.7l/1000km (depends on road trip). Ours has the CAVE motor, the CTHE is even better. Take regularly ( f.e. every Saturday) a look at the oil level ! For us (me and my wife) the Skoda is top class.
  20. Wish you good luck with the "Largo's". I had these in 17x8 on my Lancia and 5 times a rim was "ruffed" when meeting a hole in the road. I think there was lead in it. Hope quality is better now.
  21. Gorgeous mate !! (a little jealous, 10 days a go I could buy a yellow 1.9D still running on an auction for about £140, but ..... my wife). Btw, rim & tire sizes?
  22. Pistons 83mm ? So 1870cc .....
  23. I will try to post some photo's. In the meantime look at the thread of Jenshagen, he putted some 8.5X17 on his MC and in #95 I replied with my solution on a VRS. As his tires were 215, ours 245, means 15mm more on each side. So in this case you need to glue something on the fenders like on the MC. A negative point is that the 10 small black shiny plastic parts are very expensive (near €1250,-).
