  1. We bought a Karoq from them that was faulty with kangarooing and flat spot in 2nd gear. They refused our rejection. We had no alternative but to trade it in losing nearly three grand. The car was dangerous. We use to be very good customers but after this we will never ever come back. Skoda UK was absolutely shocking, they didn't want to know.
  2. We need a class action like in case of Dieselgate
  3. โ€œInform the customer that Skoda strongly recommends application of the update but that we cannot be held responsible for any damage or losses incurred either directly or indirectly as a result of application of an ECU, software or firmware update." This just proves that they are above the law in this country and that they will and they do get away with it. Apparently, in Australia VAG lost the court case in the Dieselgate affair. ๐Ÿ‘ https://www.smh.com.au/business/consumer-affairs/vw-settles-australian-diesel-gate-class-actions-20190916-p52rqj.html It's not complete win - win but if they settled out of court it means at least an admission of guilt.
  4. We bought our Karoq from West Midlands dealer in end of Nov'18. It was petrol manual 1.5 TSi. It kangarooed and it had the deadly flat spot in second gear. Two weeks after getting the car, we've noticed faults. We've notified the dealer via email. That was beginning of January '19. Dealer tried to speak to SkodaUK but they didn't want to know. I've had a massive argument with Skoda UK as well. They came up with the usual "you must take it to an independent garage to have it verified"! The Dealer then refused our rejection. Then the dealer agreed on "swap" because we were such "good customers". We absolutely rejected another Skoda or another diesel car. However, the dealer offered DSG Karoq but he wanted more money for the gear box as he put it he "can't get around that". That put us financially in a corner as we didn't have the finances for this. We had no option but to settle for a Ford Focus. It didn't suit our needs at all, but it was the only car we could afford. When we complained about this we were told by the arogant dealer that he was doing us "a favour and it was our choice!" Really? Like we had a bloody choice! I totally blame the dealer - we bought the car from them as I told him - not SkodaUK. We are absolutely disgusted. We will never ever buy any VAG car ever again. Anyway, their loss - they lost good customer and they were left with a lemon from which I seriously doubt that they made any profit. ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. We were actually told the same fairytale from the dealer when we wanted to test drive the 1.5 Tsi petrol manual Karoq. The sales manager came up with "They are so popular that we are not allowed to have one as demonstrator car!" I went to a czech Skoda forum and quite few people said they were told the same fairytale. The bells should have been ringing then. We are totally fuming with them!
  6. I totally blame the dealer. We bought the car from them - not SkodaUK, they "only" supplied it. They knew about the problem the second the car rolled off the back of the flat bed truck. Our Skoda dealer swapped with another Skoda dealer one of their Octavias with the same engine for one of their Karoqs. The buck stops with them. VAG are still denying everything and "officially" there's still no fix.
  7. We will never ever go back to the charlatans where we bought our Kroq****e from! We will never ever buy or go anywhere near any VAG car ever again!! Vote with your feet!!
  8. If I were you I'd reject the car - if you can. These scumbags aren't worthy of your money or your custom.
  9. Too late for us. We no longer have that piece of Skoda junk. Thank you though for sharing the number. I had a hellova row Skoda Customer Dept in January 2019 and it didn't get me anywhere. I hope they go bust - VAG deserves it! Specially after they cheated with Dieselgate.
  10. We bought it cash and I called Skoda UK personally who didn't want to know! All they kept repeating was "It's a characteristic - the car does not have fault!"
  11. You are lucky you've had sympathetic dealer! Our west Midlands dealer didn't want to know and kept repeating that Skoda doesn't accept it as fault so they can't do anything for me. This happened in January. Bloody b******s! Voted with our feet and we will never ever return to any of them. Keep away from VAG!!!
  12. We had our Karoq 1.5TSi rejection refused by the dealership ending up costing us nearly three grand when we had to trade it in as we have no second car. So quite few cars out there will have kangaroo engine without having the rejection on its records. We will never ever go back to the west Midlands dealer or any V.A.G. vehicle ever again! Avoid them!!
  13. "Kangarooing" and losing power in second gear - apparently according to Skoda UK as I wad told it is a "characteristic". A bloody deadly one when it comes to the second gear losing power.
  14. I regret that we ever got involved with Karoq. It revealed what a shocking and disgusting tactics the whole VAG are using. And that bad revelation includes our former dealer. They completely broke our trust. I naively thought they were different. We lost load of money when we had to trade the Karoq back because the dealer refused our rejection and then we ended up with a replacement car that my disabled husband really struggles to use. We couldn't afford and SUV which is what we needed. We will never forgive them or forget about it. If you like your money and sanity leave Skoda, Seat, Audi, or VW well alone! Don't touch them with barge pole.
  15. I've had exactly the same answer from them. The only thing they regret is the fact that I no longer own the vehicle. But fair enough they still going ahead with it. The only thing they asked for is some evidence of the fault. So I provided them with that bad copy of the now "infamous" ;-) tpi report. Fingers crossed things will start moving the right direction.
