  1. Just a quick heads up to any Colour Edition owners that haven't check their spare wheels yet and found its missing the correct tool to remove the wheel nut covers, just checked mine and its missing.

A quick search of eBay found them at just over 2 quid, so ordered one off there rather than heading to the dealers.

  2. I use the genuine Skoda cross bars, I just make sure the roof is clean befire fitting.

Only problems I've had is a slight water leak on the front door that I put down to the outer door seal being pushed back by the clamps and the feet leaving marks in the roof (that go after a few days) when the rack has been on for a week or so.

  3. I also saw quite a few Skodas there too. I briefly met you Yorkshire Pud, met Dbg, vrsadz and nice to see Phill. I saw your 106 Skinnyman, it looked very nice.

:hi: A nice way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning.

Maybe for the next one we could organise a time and a place to meet up before heading into Malton?

Skinnyman, nice 106 btw, noticed you leaving.

  4. My neighbour fits towbars, I'll ask him today.

I would have thought that the bypass relay was a generic part suitable for any car.

No they're not, some cars even need to go back to the dealer for a software update after having one fitted.

  5. Thanks for the comments on the Escort pic, :)

What post processing are you doing as even jpegs from a DSLR will still need a bit of work to get the best out of them.

Hope you don't mind but I've had a quick play with this one,

Nothing fancy just a mess with levels and a bit of a crop.

The Exif data in the pic shows you had a shutter speed of 800th/sec, try using 125/250th/sec for panning to get some blur, both of those Escort pics I posted the shutter speed was set at 90th/sec.

Relax, be smooth, don't snatch at your shutter release and don't stop panning when you take the picture.

  6. The only advice I can give is get out there and practice, then practice some more.

I like to get up nice and close, with a wide angle and flash

Even using the onboard flash can get good results, just bringing out the highlights

What camera are you using btw, what manual options do you have?

Sometimes it's better to prefocus and have the exposure set in manual.

Learn the limits of your kit and see what works for you.
