  6. Hi guys I finished replacing my window regulator today and it all works hunky dory!! however before i saw the guide on here i was using the haynes manual that told me i had to remove the door handle, which i didn't have to in the end. and now when i go to re fit it, it springs back fine until i add the little block used to replace the lock on the passenger side. it works fine but having it not spring back as its meant to is going to do my head in!! Anyone know whys its doing this? the central locking and handle on the inside works fine.
  7. At a younger age insurance is a pain, we all know as we have been there. some places do 10 month policies which can be good, you pay for 10 months and at the end get a one NCD, so can work out for the bets for getting those policies down quicker in the future.
  8. probably just get the one in Yeovil then that I linked, could probably replace the rivets with some pop rivets.
  9. That's weird it said it didn't fit before, closed one in stock for me is in bridewater, a go 30 miles so may just go with the original one, will it be difficult to fit it it's just the regulator?

Hey guys thanks for the replies, is this the type of regulator i would need, found one on euro car parts, can could get tomorrow so would be far easier like you said then buying the repair kit. im an aircraft fitter so wouldn't be a issue fitting but you know how it goes, anything to save time and energy is better haha. http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.4_2004/p/car-parts/car-body-parts-and-car-exhaust/body-shop/window-regulator-and-window-winders/?492780151&1&81d49af8211678a8512d8d78195b10691ca80342&000374

  17. You can pick up handy scanners on eBay for OBD, and also but a app for Android and i would of thought apple as well (don't quote me on that though) which enables use to scan for fault codes on your mobile. Always handy when you can be arsed to go and get a laptop I use mine all the time and can honestly say it was the best £8 all in ive spent in a long long time.
