Hi, I'm looking to get a towbar fitted to my Yeti for towing a trailer, so only need 7 pin electrics. Can anyone recommend a supplier and fitter in the South West / South Wales area? Thanks Simon

I had a bulb failure warning for a number-plate bulb which was working fine on my Superb. Turned out that the bulb was on the way out and whilst it had not yet burned out, the resistance had changed and this was what caused the system to report it; the system monitors resistance as a criterion. Changed the bulb; no more problems.

For those living in urban areas with lots of traffic to avoid and excellent mobile phone coverage, not having a spare wheel is a fair option. However, I live in the countryside with little traffic and no mobile coverage for mile after mile, so would not contemplate not having a spare wheel. You pays your money and makes your choice!

Hi, Have tried SGS Engineering; they don't list a bonnet strut / kit and have not bothered to respond to an email providing details of the SuperSkoda item, so I guess they can't help. (Would be nice if people replied though). Feebs - how much did the Skodadop kit cost you in total with postage? Simon

Each time my phone connects to the Bolero unit in my 2012 Yeti, it emits a chime. The volume of this is driven by the volume of the ringer set at the time on the phone. As I often use my phone in noisy environments, the ringer is set to maximum, so I get a deafening "boing" when I get into the car. Is there any way to set / limit the volume of the chimes on the Bolero unit, so that I don't have to fiddle with the phone volume every time before I get into the car? Simon

the Columbus unit in my '59 Superb has just developed a fault; when pressing the "Media" key, the screen goes blanks and displays "System starting". Except it doesn't... No music plays. All other functions work fine, with displays as normal, (radio, phone, map, navigation, etc.), and steering wheel buttons for volume, change radio station, etc. Any suggestions on how to test / cure? Thank you all for your replies. As it seems that an under-dash antenna should work OK, Amazon here I come. After all, even if it doesn't work, it will only have cost under a tenner, so it's well worth a try before paying the dealer £140+. I'll provide an update when it's done and (hopefully) a few pictures to help anyone else. Simon

I have a 59 Superb, (built Aug 09), and the sat nav is no longer picking up any satellite signals. My dealer has quoted £142.86 to replace the roof antenna, yet Amazon sell what appears to be a suitable antenna to mount under the dashboard at only £7.99, (see http://www.amazon.co.uk/ANTENNA-Volkswagen-professional-Mercedes-Blaupunkt/dp/B00HMRXRY0/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393609847&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=skoda+satellite+navigation+antenna). Questions; Has anyone used an after-market antenna successfully and, if so, what make / model and where from? Would the antenna work OK if mounted under the dashboard, (as in the Octavias?), as opposed to on the roof? Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks Simon
