Gas mileage decreased post 4th service
Hi All - Need your views. My car went in for the 4th yr service. Its got 35K km on the odo. As part of service, beyond oil change, they also replaced the air filter and spark plugs. For a few days, the gas mileage in every trip increased by about 20%. However, its been about 15 days now since service and the mileage has been going southwards. In every trip, I feel the mileage is lesser than norm by about 15 to 20%. Thoughts whats going on? Cheers

Audio upgrade in Superb Sportline
Hi All - On this same thread, have now got a 3rd option that someone suggested to explore - just adding a DSP Amp [Match 5.4] with a sub-woofer, keeping the OEM speakers as-is. Has anyone tried this option? If yes, how has your experience been, over the standard OEM sound quality? Cheers, Shoubhik

Audio upgrade in Superb Sportline
Hi All - I have a Sportline MY2020 with the standard 8-speaker audio - non-Canton system. Have been exploring the idea of upgrading the audio experience. I don't like my music loud, just so you understand what I am looking for, when I say "enhance quality and add a little more punchier bass". Whatever I decide on should not impact the warranty. Exploring the following options: Option 1: Just upgrade the stock front and rear speakers to FOCAL 165VW Option 2: Option 1 + Add a DSP-Amp [Match 5.4 DSP] + Subwoofer Has anyone done either of the above to give me suggestions on how much of a differential is there between Option 1 vs Option 2? Also, if anyone has done Option 2, can you give me your thoughts on the below points: 1. Is there any effect of installation to the auto start-stop? I believe the auto start-stop works basis amount of power drawn. Does the higher load of DSP/Sub cause the auto stop to not function properly OR every time that it starts up, does it reset the DSP off n on due to the higher power requirement during auto-start? 2. Is Damping of the doors required OR can I just add the speakers as-is? WIll there be an appreciable difference in sound quality? Cheers, Sanju

Inside Canton Amplifier
I have a Sportline - which does not come with the Canton system. It comes with an 8-speaker setup - 4 tweeters, 4 mid-range. Am exploring the following possibilities: 1. Cheaper option : Just swap out the OEM speakers with FOCAL VW IS 165s 2. More expensive but better experience ofcourse : Add a DSP [Match 5.4] + Subwoofer [Focal psb 200] + Replace OEM speakers with Focal VW IS 165s Any thoughts or suggestions, specially for #1? How much of an audio experience enhancement do you think this will give over stock setup? Rgds, Sanju

Accelerator pedal goes dead for 2-3 sec, post Auto Start/Stop "starting" car
Hi All - Hope everyone's having a good weekend. I have been facing an issue with my Superb's Auto Start/Stop and sharing it to see if anyone has any thoughts. I keep Auto Start/Stop activated always. What I have been noticing for some time now is that , maybe 1 out of 4 times, when Auto Start/Stop has cut-off power to the engine, (even while car has not come to a full stand-still) and then "auto-starts" the engine, the accelerator goes dead for a couple of seconds. This does not happen always, nor have I been able to find a pattern to when it occurs - except maybe, that it happens whenever the car has not come to a full stand-still. Have tried to get a scan done at the service center but have been informed there are no faults thrown up. This is quite a problem in stop and go traffic and hence wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what may be causing this. Cheers, Sanju

Light Animation on a 2020 Superb Sportline
@Waylon I dont have the animation. I have never had it. Incidentally, the identical looking taillamps - but on the Superb 3 FL which comes with the Matrix LED - has the animation. Hence, not sure what you meant by "Original taillight has its own animation mode".

@Waylon - Where did you get the light models from? @ApertureS - Any thoughts, basis Waylon's response? Also - incase it helps, pfa the rear tail-light images. Cheers, Sanju

Hi Warrior193 - I am not sure if its drive by wire.

Accelerator goes dead for a few seconds post auto-start
Hi Warrior193 - My Superb has the DSG; not a manual trans. Hi Kenny R - As responded above, while its the DSG, it doesnt go into coasting mode. I can hear/feel the engine cut off with the auto-STOP activating below 5 km/hr. Then, as i have released the brake pedal, the auto-START fires up the engine. AT THIS POINT, the accelerator goes dead - no response even on the tacho - for 2 to 3 seconds.

Accelerator goes dead for a few seconds post auto-start
Hi All - Been facing another interesting issue last 2 months and wondering if anyone else has faced the same - and if yes, have you been able to get a resolution from Skoda Svc. I keep the Auto Start/Stop enabled. When Auto-Stop/Start activates say, going over a small hump, it cuts off the ignition. However, once it comes back on as part of the Auto-Stop/Start, the accelerator goes dead for a few seconds [~2-3 seconds] before it comes back to life. This does not happen every time the auto-start/stop has started the car; maybe 3 out of 5 times it happens though. When this happens, even if the accelerator pedal is pressed fully, the tacho needle does not show any movement either ofcourse. Has anyone else faced this?

Bluetooth Audio Quality Drops for every new song
I have the Amundsen Infotainment system. How do I do a firmware update? Is it something I can do myself or do I need to get the service center to do this? Thanks in advance.

Bluetooth Audio Quality Drops for every new song
Hi All - Hope everyones' doing well. I own a Superb MY20 Sportline. I have realized that between Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Carplay is clearly miles ahead in terms of user interface as well as the Audio Quality. However, what I also wanted to know is - when playing audio via Bluetooth - if any of you are facing the Audio Quality & Volume dropping every time a new song plays? When playing Amazon Music via Bluetooth (on Android Phone), I am facing this weird problem where audio quality drops every time a new song starts. If I press the rewind button to restart song, then audio quality and audio volume both gets back to the earlier "good state". Any thoughts or ways to fix this? Also FYI that I do not have sound level normalization setup in Amazon Music - and hence, each song should play at its own volume level, instead of the software normalizing it to a uniform volume. Thanks in advance. Regards, Sanju
