Always wanted black magic fabia, never looked back after buying one in red
Same here mate, I wanted a black one, but got frustrated with looking for a low mileage one in black and a mate found a red one in BSA car auctions with 31k and 1 owner so i decided to get it and now I love it like a child :giggle

Ask them to fit a other one, if it still does it then its not the clutch/ flywheel if it stops then you have your problem

550 with adapters is a bargain. . .the adapters alone are a couple hundred quid, they have tires on. . .and as said on the sale thread there 400 each new from audi . . .and a rare wheel. .
If you dint like em you could easily get the same money back for em. . (i presume your on about the ones in sale section)
Ye it's the cheapest i've ever seen them, but I currently have spiders and if I scratch one of them I'm not too bothered, there's loads of crap drivers by me and I'd rather scratch my alloy than scratch my car so I'm guna steer away from them, I'd hate to buy them and then scratch them, (I'd probably cry :giggle) but if I still have the cash burning a hole in my pocket by summer I may change my mind and take the risk lol but I do drive my car quite hard and take it some silly places so I don't think alloys such as these are suitable for me :(
I was going to buy them and try and sell them on for a little more but I'd have to travel nearly 200 miles to get them so not massively wanting to do it lol

How far away are you from the station?! Given it`ll take a while for the oil to get up to normal operating temperature, let alone hot enough to cause any issues switching off instantly I`m not sure a TT will help at all in this situation. You can drive very quickly up to 80mph without taking the car much over 2000-2500rpm, changing up nice and early. Driving this way means your not thrashing the engine cold and when you arrive you can switch the car off straight away.
I`v read lots about Turbo Timers over the years, seems like a huge amount of effort (immobiliser removal/security issues/insurance issues/not allowed to leave a car running by itself etc etc) for the same result that can be achieved by just plonking the car into a higher gear near the end of your trip.
About 2/3 of a mile... Up hill though from my house, and it's a big'un lol plastered in speed bumps too lol but I'm guna give It a few practise runs when I get my car back, my main concern is its a new hybrid so just wana be extra careful, but ye ill give it a go without going into turbo. (Usually 2.2k revs ye?) ye leaving my car running isn't a preferred choice, I struggle to leave my car most places let alone running haha :p

Thinner oil pumps better when cold, only disadvantage is price. I would look for something like 0w30 or 0w40.
Ok, thank you mate ill have a look into it and get on the case

I'd think about running thinner oil.
Any disadvantages?

Putting a turbo timer in the car would be quite difficult id imagine!
SAve yourself the hassle and just take it easy for 5 mins then give it the beans!
I think I'm going to get one fitted, my mates dad fitted his on his Ibiza fr so should be easy he said :giggle atleast I can leave it run down properly outside the station then the car will be safe as houses outside the station

Well done for getting in as Retained... I'm currently Retained in Lincolnshire F&R.
When i had my Fabia i used to just try keep it off boost. So shift just as the torque starts to roll in. I'd probably suggest changing the oil more often just as a precautionary measure.
Good luck with your new job, and get ready for the adrenaline rush the first time your alerter goes off! Just dont go rushing to the station for a test call! Or things on tv that sound similar to your alerter! The amount of times i've jumped up and then realised it's the tv!!
Cheers mate ohh... You get a lot of calls there?
I see, the station is up a hill across then up a steeper hill from my house :( so slight boost will be needed :( at the moment I'm catching all my shouts but still on probation so another two weeks or so before I'm allowed out :( so when I get my own car back I think ill be taking it a bit slower lol
Ye will do, every 78k or so be alright?
Ye i've jumped up at a few test calls but thankfully realised before I left the house lol :p
