Cheers lads, I have it booked in for Dpf removal & re-map nxt thurs. €300 not bad

Hi lads, Just a question regarding my vrs. My dpf light comes on approx once a week, and I am getting sick of diving it out the road for 20 minutes in a low gear at high revs to clear it. There is only 87k miles (genuine) on my car, I spoke to a guy who does dpf work and he said my mileage is too low for it to be blocked up and wouldn't recommend it. What are my options? (I'm based in Ireland by the way)

Hi lads, going to view a 2007 octavia on Saturday... car has genuine low miles, full service history, lady owned, BUT the ABS light is on..... What do you lads think? Should I avoid it or chance it....? Thanks lads

Hi all, I drive a 04 Octavia VRS. Today, its been giving me trouble. It is very stiff going into 4th gear and although the car will drive fine when its in 4th, the gear lever itself isnt actually fully in 4th. After this, I was reversing and lever would not come out of reverse... Any advice would be appreciated as this is doing my head in......

Just a Q about the sec air pump. Whats involved in getting at these rivets, must i take off the pump?

This guy has been recommended to be fair... Car was serviced 1k ago, although there is a slight noise on start up when cold, for about 25seconds, ive been told it's my secondary air pump.. Should I get this sorted prior to getting it done?

I'm living in Ireland and guy living near me said he'd do it for £200... Is there anything i need to do or look out for beforehand or anything?

Hi everyone, I recently bought a VRS 1.8T and I'm currently thinking about getting it re-mapped. Does anyone have any advice or have any good/bad experiences with re-mapping their Octavias. They claim they can increase it to 210bhp without any trouble... Any advice would be appreciated...

I have a 2004 plate VRS and when started from cold it appears as though there is a slight blow from the manifold. This noise only lasts for about 20 seconds before it completely stops. Does anyone have any advice on this? cheers
