  1. hi:) 1J0951605 been having a google trying to track down a replacement alarm siren due to alarm issues. vag cat comes up with part no 1J0951605, they're £137 for a new one from tps/skoda so i'm looking at a second hand one as funds are tight atm. i've read previously that a revised siren came out that addressed some of the earlier issues, did this retain the same part number? there are a load on ebay, is this design the newer one? if so can anyone confirm it fits in place of the old one? and this one the old one? many thanks for looking:)

  5. Managed to read code 01134 (Alarm horn no communication intermittent) using the free version of vcds. I think the battery in the siren is goosed, so I'm going to look into getting that replaced
  6. Great info many thanks Do you know if vcds lite will read them? I have a cable somewhere so should be able to download the free version
  7. i disconnected the bonnet sensor and it didn't go off all that day, result! i thought but unfortunately it started again the next day. going to try the internal one if i can get to it next. it all started after the car didn't run for a few months whilst i was away with work. once i got it all back up and running it started. could it be the battery on the siren itself?
  8. Thanks for the Info, sometimes goes off as soon as I walk away. Sometimes an hour or 2 after locking. It really is random:-/ Thing is even if I remove the siren the lights will be flashing on the drive, which shine right into next doors bedroom. They've already politely told me a few times its kept them awake. I've read on a couple of threads that people have had the sirens replaced dye to the internal batteries dying? I have a code reader but not vcds, would the free vcds version pick potential codes up? I really want to try and get it sorted rather than a workaround if poss. I'll give disconnecting the sensors one by one a go and see if that shows anything. Thanks for the reply:)
  9. hi:) the alarm on my fabia vrs has been going off randomly. its pretty frequent but there does not seem to be a pattern to it. having read loads of previous threads where people have had issues i've already tried the steps below with no luck. The lights flash when i lock it, so i believe that means all the locks are reporting they're ok? and i've tried hitting the lock button on the key once and twice and it is the same however many times i press it. doused the boot and bonnet sensors in wd and exercised them. intermittent wipers appear to be working fine. how many sensors does the fabia have? is it 3? 1x boot, 1x bonnet & internal sensor behind the internal light? from a fault finding point of view, if i try disconnecting 1 at a time, will that show up which one is at fault? ie if i disconnect the bonnet sensor and leave for a few days and the alarm doesn't go off, then its pointing at the bonnet sensor? or isn't it as easy as that? any other places to look or fixes to try? its getting to the point where i don't want to take the car anywhere. i just want to try and get it sorted. many thanks for your time:)
  10. Sorry mate, nothing personal but I've been stung before buying off a forum. I'd have no guarantee that they'd be sent. I only pick things up now.
  11. I would have these if you were closer. Do you ever venture past Peterborough?
  12. I would take at asking if you were closer. Do you ever go past Peterborough? My job means I'm away in the week and on call at weekends atm:-/
  13. Nice one thanks guys, I'll take a look and if it's all OK get it regassed
  14. Hi:) I have an 04 vrs, the air con button lights up but there is no cold air coming out whatsoever. Now the weather's getting warmer I'd like to get the air conditioning working if poss. Are there any checks I can do to see if the system is serviceable? Or is my best option to try and get it regassed and see if I get lucky? Does everyone else's ac work fine, or is it a common fault in this age of car? Apologies if the questions are a bit vague :-/
  15. If for any reason this falls through I'd take them. Exactly what I'm after.
  16. Can these be run with the standard smic/pipework & exhaust? I realise power would be down. Also do you do any deals if a turbo and clutch are bought together?
  17. very nice, any other supporting mods (apart from the hybrid) to reach that figure?
  18. sorry to thread hijack! i'm also looking to get my fabia up to around the 200 bhp mark, and will be probably looking to get one of xmans units. so the std exhaust with cat is fine to achieve 200 ish? the pd160 intakes seem so expensive for what they are, do they improve things that much?
  19. I can't see it coming from any pipes, or joins. I'll give the k seal a go. If I'm going to the hassle of removing the rad I'll replace for new, thanks for the offer though.
