  1. as were downstream of the ecu there are no electronic traces left behind, so in a nutshell as long as the kit is removed before the car goes back to the dealers then there is no trace of the kit. if this wasn't the case there would be a lot of threads being posted by bRISKODA members stating that they had had issues with their warranties
  2. zee germans refer to sport/dynamic/eco.. We refer to the 3 maps as map 1/ map 2/ map 3
  3. Ive not been online for a while, and after reading a few threads i thought id add my own feedback regarding the new 3 channel CRD3+ 2 channel v's 3 channel.. If we go back 3 years, I'm sure i mentioned that there was a 3 channel kit available but at the time it required a 12v power supply, plus earth connection. For various reasons i didnt want to use these systems so went down the road of the 2 channel CRDT and subsequent CRDT+ systems. This option has been dyno'd on several occasions on various cars and has produced 235/248hp and 480/515nm. Over the last couple of years I've been running various cars (S3's RS3's M2's 1M's L200/ T5 Kombi) since handing over the VRS to one of our guys and ill be honest and say that the Octavis VRS is a car I miss on a daily basis, its such a complete all rounder and if they offered a manual 4X4 VRS TDI id have one in a heart beat. So about a month ago i managed to pry the keys out of Simons hands (gave him the L200) and jumped into the VRS running the CRD3+ system. My initial feelings were that the car was certainly a lot more refined, and wasn't in your face as much as the last time id driven it with CRDT (2 channel).. I thought it had lost a bit of its "fun" factor, but on the other hand it was nice to be able to pull away without lighting up the front wheels. I ran the car for 2 weeks, and the more time i spent with the car the more i began to realise how much different the 3 channel felt to the 2 channel.. The 3 channel is a lot more refined, and one think found was that it simply pulled, pulled and pulled even more.. An analogy i use now to customers is that the CRDT is like a "quick sharp push in the back" where as the crd3 is a more "gradual/forcefull push" We took a car to the dyno and ran CRDT map 1 plus 1, we then ran CRD3 Map 2 plus 2 and them CRD3 map 3 plus 1 and bhp and torque figures between the 3 files were virtually identical. Im always saying that dyno figures don't tell the whole story, and if you run all 3 files on the road they all feel very very different even though under full throttle on the dyno the curves were virtually identical. CRD3 software files. map 1 - ?????? map 2 - this is map 2 from the CRDT but with a cam connection map 3 - this is map 1 from CRDT but with a cam connection why have i added ????? after map 1? well we've been over the moon with map 2 and 3, but on certain boxes we've had requests from customers to actually have the "in your face" map 1 of the crdt flashed onto their boxes.. So depending on the customers requests map 1 on certain CRD3 modules can be different, where as MAP 2 and MAP 3 are the same on each and every CRD3+ we've sold onto the 2.0 184ps So is the CRD3+ worth the extra £20 (including forum discounts) over the CRDT+? id say it is as for one thing it will extend the life of your tyres if anyone is looking to purchase a kit, then follow this link http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/systems_available.php?id=4932 at the top of the page if you add BRI80 the CRD3+ drops down to £379 plus £6.95 shipping if anyone has purchased a CRDT+ (push button module) from us direct and would like to upgrade to the CRD3+ then this service is available. The costs are £96.95 inc vat and carriage, this is for the new loom (3 channel) and the software is free of charge. If you have bought a used CRDT+ and wish to upgrade, then the cost for this service is £186.95 as software is chargeable.]]

  5. A little video we've put together showing how to install a 3712 Pedal box to an Octavia 3 (amongst others) https://youtu.be/EabRvM_-iIE
  6. urm?? last week its currently at the sign writers having a few tasty additions added. Next week the eibachs and TPI spacers will be fitted (fingers crossed)
  7. In meteor grey options were Sunset glass pano roof sat nav adaptive cruise canton black pack with 19inch alloys.. planned mods so far are 20mm rear and 15mm front TPI spacers eibach springs DTUK CRDT+ Pedal box.. the colour changes so much and was definately a marmite choice but really pleased with it
  8. james, tried to drop you a pm but cant.. give me a call this net week and ill organise that trial i promised you last year
  9. the first box is actually on our own vRS and is working as it should, we haven't noticed any issues at all as described by Darren. To be honest i find this very strange indeed. As for the kit being 2nd hand, the kit he has has been used on our own skoda for a week/ten days and as far as I'm concerned is a proven kit without issues. I wouldn't expect anything else other then negativity from your goodself anyway, so I'm not sure why i bother to reply. So yes Darren has had an issue, weve gone into the office out of hours and tried to solve his issue. First thing to do was to swap the 2 kits across and try his kit on our car and vice versa. Darren will confirm that VAG group are having quite a few issues with boost sensors on the 2.0 150 and 184ps, this is documents on various VW/Audi forums so this maybe the culprit. as above, Darrens original kit is still on our car and working as it should.. No doubt ill be called a liar etc, but sometimes we do come across anomalies that occur between the kits and various cars. Darren, as mentioned last week there are no issues with the kit you have where warranty is concerned as its 3 years from date of purchase, let me know how the car goes with the replacement kit,
  10. Pop in any tuesday or friday and well take it off, or you can download the fitting instructions from this link; https://www.dropbox.com/s/eeu8vcgqcpnbauc/vag_2.0_tdi_cr_ldk_Golf_leon.pdf?dl=0
  11. The 225ps is based on a dyno sheet supplied to us by a customer who took his TT 170 to a dyno in Lancashire somewhere.
  12. follow this link, it should give you a good idea on how to route the cables https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilbhzvyvi9nrfh9/184.jpg?dl=0
  13. there are no plans for any hardware updates where the CRDT+ is concerned, although we are rolling out trevor as a single channel application where CRD2+ and CRDe are offered, these are going live on our website this next week.
  14. Small anomalies like this are hard to diagnose, I've had something similar with our vRS but going downhill. Again this occurs with and without the box. If its only happened once then yet again its difficult for me to comment on as it maybe of been a sht of dirty fuel, goodness knows
  15. We do have access to an injector plus boost system which is currently available for the 2.0 150. Once it becomes available for the 184ps we may take the kit on for evaluation
  16. I asked Tony and he said that you mentioned a code that related to a mass airflow and an air leak, so to be fair without the full list of fault codes he was going off the info given to him at the time No reason to lie to you but once we have the full picture we'll both have a better understanding of what the issue could be
  17. if you bought your box before the 15th of september feel free to send your kit back upto us and ill reflash it with the new map
  18. Taken from the 170 TDI thread, again this is where I've mentioned over adjusting the box ... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/273668-buying-a-crd-t-tuning-box-from-dtuk/?hl=+crd#8208t=&page=15
  19. with any form of tuning there is going to be a small % of issues, the benefits of having an adjustable system is that the box can be tailored to fit the majority of cars, the downside sometimes is that human nature take ahold and greed sets in, and bang - issues.
  20. Hi James, first of all apologies for not getting back to you myself, I've not been online or involved as much in the business recently as we have an addition to the family 5 months ago which has been anything but plain sailing. I wont digress into this very much as i don't want anyone to think that i am using my personal issues to sherk my responsibilities to my customers. regarding your issues, we did find an issue with your first kit that was replaced with the updated system and was surprised to hear that you'd started having issues again with the replacement kit. We've now tuned over 700 of these new 2.0 150/184ps engines and what we have found is that these new engines are not without their issues. Im not saying that your issues are down to your car but there is a small chance there could be an underlying issue that the system is highlighting. Another thing we have noticed over the last 12 months is that there are some massive tolerance level differences in these engines. if you can remember me saying that i couldn't use anything other than plus 1 on my own VRS where as at the time you were running plus 3. I wasn't privvy to the whole conversation you had with Tony but i would suggest that you try turning the box down first (again you may of already tried this) and seeing if that helps, if not then well take a look at the system for you. First of all We cant solve the problem if youre not willing to send the kit back to us, its not that we cant solve the issue as i said above we've tuned 100's of these cars without issues. You've mentioned yourself that the issues only occur during a DPF regeneration, surely if this was a common fault everyone who we have sold s kit too would be saying the same thing? If your kit was failing 100% if the time then it would be an easy fix, but as with any intermittent issue then it does make our job or anyone else's very difficult. I would like to take this chance to say yet again to everyone that if you over adjust the kit (get greedy) then you will and may see issues. Im sure i have said several times on this thread to various customers that they're running their kits on too high of a setting but have they listened to me? I'd say no.. Does this surprise me? No it doesn't, where all human and we all get greedy and this certainly is the case where tuning is concerned. For everyones reference, we took our DSG Golf GTD to the dyno yesterday and ran map 1 plus 1 not plus 2 or plus 3 good old plus 1.. 239.5bhp and 510nm.. Now i know i am no different to anyone else on this forum and i would still be tempted to run plus 2 to see if i could have an even faster car,but by doing so i do need to realise that i may see an issue.. I could run it on map 1 zero and have 232hp and 499nm and probably have no issues whatsoever.. Will ii run the box on zero? will i hell as i want to have as much power as possible from my 181bhp Golf/Skoda... If anyone has any questions then please email me direct on andrew(@)diesel-performance.co.uk and ill try and get back asap, or give me a call direct on 01207 299538
