  1. Would be great if you can order the hawks on their own, been trying to configure but no luck; looking at 2.0TDi elegance in Metal Grey, Hawkes and Xenons,
  2. I have been trying to build an elegence in Metal Grey with Hawk wheels (sports pack), its say its not compatible?? Any body any ideas? Cheers
  3. My rattles from the passenger door bin, delaer can't find the fault but agrees there is a rattle; drives me mad
  4. Thanks for all the advice. I have now made the seat higher and moved closer to the s/wheel, felt an improvemnet straight away. Must admit feels a bit strange being so close to dash in such a big car, rear passengers laughing then.
  5. No just manual lumbar, played with this and no luck. Never had a bad back before, eek!
  6. Just completed over 5K and I have an issue with the seats, plenty of room and support but my back is killing me! Tried lots of different positions, but within 5 minutes on being in the car my back starts to ache; lower back and now leg. Oh and the bloody stitching is coming undone on drivers seat and rear seating.
  7. I I can confirm that you can listen to your music via BT with good clarity, only issue is that you have limited control via the car; most has to be done via the phone The normal USB socket charges the phone no problem Voice control of the phone and contacts works OK for a voice activated system I did enquire about retrofitting the Mitsumi, and I will receive a price shortly; however whilst I was at the dealers having the rear light cluster re-fitted as it had become loose; I found somebody placed a new Mitsumi cable in the glove box and the service guy said to me you may want to remove the panel under the multimedia unit and have a play??? I will be investigating at the weekend.
  8. I thought you needed some extra software to convert music bought from iTunes?
  9. What software are people using to transfer from iphone to SD card, there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews?
  10. Very limited control of iPhone music via BT, can not search for alblums artists etc; having to stick on random or just select one album. Also phone contact control from steering wheel is very limited. I had full intergartion on the Mini and I do miss it.
  11. Has anybody considered retrofitting the MDI interface yet? I miss not being able to use all the iPhone features, so will probably have a go.
  12. Hmm, going to through a lot of stick on adapters as I go over the channel 2-3 times per month. Spoke to parts guy and he said to gain access the light unit has to come out and thats the bumper off !! Then he said wait until you have to change a indicator bulb, nightmare he recons.
  13. As I dont have the fancy lights trying to figure out how I change my beam so I dont dazzle those frenchies. Spoke to dealer and they said they can do it for me, and that I should book it in; only problem is I go over 2-3 times a month; so I asked is there anyway I can do this myself and they said no. However guy in parts depo said its just the flick of a switch??? Can anybody help???
  14. I understand is not going to be a sporty run around (should have stuck with the MINI for that), what I should have said that the steering is not as sloppy and I can feel when the front wheels are losing traction when pushed into a bend to hard. From my understAnding the steering element on the Leon FR and Golf GT is exactly the same as the Octy, like you say just the rear beam is improved; but then again only for the 140+bhp on the FR/GT. The handling is more down to the slightly different wheelbase.
  15. Since the car had the software update for the steering, I can really say the biggest difference I can see/feel is the steering; sport feels so more tighter with more feedback than normal mode. 3000miles is Sport mode and averaging 57.4mpg
  16. I can say I am mostly happy with my Octy, however the fault list is starting to build at an alarming rate: 1. Blown headlight 2. Two screws found drivers footwell, One in passenger footwell, no idea where they are from 3. Rattle from front passenger door card. 4. Offside rear light cluster developed an inch gap from the rear quarter panel, doesn’t seem loose, but booked in anyway 5. Argh, twice now the engine has cut out from start, with the glow plug light going nuts; even when ignition left on for more than a minute second time.
  17. No White lights available at the moment, and just for an update I had those blue covers on for about a week; then the glue melted on one and it fell off inside the light unit. A real pain to get it back out!
  18. Looks like bulb covers it is to get rid of the yellow DRL's
  19. Does anybody know if the rear spoiler is available in the UK, local dealer no idea; but my friend can get it in Holland
  20. Yep on the MINI I used Canbus LED which stopped the computer registering a fault; If I knew the type of bulb used on the DRL's I will see if you can get them; any ideas?
  21. Hello, I am soon to be the proud owner of a new Octy 1.6tdi Elegence, having been a MINI owner for the last 6 years I need to make it my own Does anybody know can you change the rear number lights for LEDS and the basic DRL for LEDS, I think the bulbs are different to the MK2; just looking to chnage the bulbs. Has anybody gone for the extra black insert on the front bumper grill, as the pictures inb the brochure are naff. Thanks Martin
  22. I haven't purchased one yet; the rumbling led me to walk away from one; especially as the dealer couldn't explain why. Think I will go back at the weekend as the car was sooo nice
  23. Will venture back and have a look. I was also amazed to see that the avergae MPG was reading 53.6 on a trip of 409 miles!
