My thinking is that by time car is built the majority of faults will be fixed.

Has anyone ordered or taken delivery of a MK4 with the All Season tyres option? Did you have to option a different set of wheels, i.e. Pulsar alloys? My dealer tells me I can order them on the standard wheels but the online configurator says otherwise.

After owning three Octavias in a row I switched to a Kamiq SEL 1.5 dsg. Now thinking about trading it in and ordering an Octavia MK4 SEL 1.5 DSG. I just miss the space even if it's not necessary. Trade in price is good and on a PCP the extra monthly cost is fairly small. Problem is the delivery time is up to 12 months! Anyone else in the same boat?

Always enjoyed my previous Octavias and I like the Kamiq too just not as much as the Octavia.

Does anyone know if the usb port behind interior mirror is powered all the time or is in switched live? Looking to swap my Kamiq and go back to the Octavia. Thanks.

Did you check " webuyanycar" before going to dealer?

For me dsg is best option. Cannot speak about reliability after a few years but the combination of 1.5 engine and dsg is very good.

Buy an OBD dongle plugin and you can switch it off permanently. (and back on if required)

Yes it must have done. Wonder if it could be an Android Auto issue on my phone?

Mine has started rebooting too. Roughly every 20/25 mins. Got the high pitched buzz too as radio was on. Will try the manual reboot tomorrow. Phoned my dealer service department and they claim never to have been made aware of this issue. Anyway booked in on 29th September. They said there may be software update so can I leave the car for the day ! Will just have to wait and see. Kamiq 1.5 SEL. just over a year old now.

Have the "basic" ones on my SEL. They are fine. Last car was an Octavia with full led headlights and I cannot see any difference.

It's the gesture control. I drove me mad at times. You can switch it off in the settings menu. One of those ideas that sounds good but in fact is just a pain.

Just hard wire your dashcam.

SEL should have the removable light/torch. Left side looking into boot. The rh one is not even led. I bought the replacement ones from Superskoda a while back and removed them on trade in. Fit the Kamiq as a straight swap. So much brighter.

Easiest thing is back to dealer and tell them to sort it out. My dealer did it with me when I picked up the car. The whole system needs refinement in my view. It just needs sorting out a.s.a.p. It almost all works but could be much more intuitive.

It was a pre built car. It was awaiting transport to UK so was held up due to Covid 19. Took about 2.5 months.

Great info. Traded in my 3rd Octavia recently for a Kamiq SEL 1.5 DSG. It's a bloody pest that Skoda does not offer all season tyres as a factory option. I had a set of steel winter wheels and tyres for the Octavia but they don't fit. Despite my dealer telling me they did. So he was a bit embarrassed at their mistake and agreed to supply me a new set of steel wheels and fit my original winters on them. Fairly happy but would prefer to have the option of all season tyres from the factory.

Not received anything from Skoda regarding my Kamiq. Just have to wait 🤞
