  1. I rather miss those Snipe curry deals. Shall we do it some time?
  2. You should STILL go back to them. Irrespective of the terms of the 3 month warranty.
  3. One thing I'd say to people who are living with sunroof leaks on these. Pop the covers off each side of the dashboard and see how rusty it is inside. Also take a look at the bottom of your steering column, near the pedals.
  4. I'm curious as to why you didn't reject the car immediately when you noticed the carpet was wet the day after you got it?
  5. The absolute best advice I can give you is get them to take it back and get your money back. Call the dealer tomorrow. Don't delay. It's virtually certain to be leaking at the interface between the aluminium and plastic. See Yeti_Panoramic_Roof_Leak.pdf (yetiownersclub.co.uk) . Seriously, don't entertain trying to fix it. It will fail again. Get your money back.
  6. Take the middle seat out and put a big bag between the two rear passengers. That's what we used to do.
  7. Why is it dreaded? Given the choice I'd rather have a Euro6 CR150 than a dieselgate CR140 / CR170 model.
  8. If they'd made the dimming mirror available as an option for <£100 I'd have probably just grumbled a bit, added the option and kept the order.
  9. Yup, we get the Brexit Dividend special edition spec. Seriously though, it's quite a drastically different standard spec level isn't it between Sweden and UK. I notice that Swedish spec is missing navigation, virtual dashboard and 18" wheels. But you get heated seats, proper rear view mirror, electrically folding door mirrors, heated seats, keyless etc. The UK spec is more style over substance, compared to the Swedish one.
  10. I will say though, Rainworth Sheffield have been good to deal with about this. They tried to retain my business with a bit of an offer and were understanding when I declined and asked to proceed with cancelling. They will return my deposit on Monday.
  11. @AJ89It's not mentioned in the brochure at all is it. But it's still listed on the SEL specification here: ŠKODA KAMIQ SE L | Our All-New Compact SUV | ŠKODA UK (skoda.co.uk)
  12. Yeah - the issue being not enough profit I'd imagine. SEL still seems to have it. I have cancelled our order.
  13. Wow, I missed that one, £220 extra for proper door mirrors.
  14. Does it not have electrically folding mirrors either?
  15. I think I'm going to cancel the order. It looks horrible with that poverty spec mirror. That's a penny pinching exercise too far. Thanks for pointing it out @motr1912.
  16. This thread mentions SE-L having auto-dimming and swapping it for a nicer auto-dimming mirror. You sure it hasn't got it? It's not mentioned in the specs for either SE-L or Monte Carlo, but I wonder if it's another penny pinching thing where you get it on SE-L but they've removed it off Monte Carlo. What Car claim you get auto-dimming on an SE.
  17. This is a pretty cool trick - (5) Skoda Kamiq, MY2020 - Light Assist activation (automatic switching between low/high beams) - YouTube
  18. Wow, I didn't realise they didn't have auto dimming rear view mirror. I just take that for granted these days. That's quite annoying actually. I didn't notice it on the options list. One of my Volvos is 17 years old, built on a platform from 1992 and that has it.
  19. Interesting. I've always found the sales, service and parts departments excellent there. I used them for service and parts since 2009. I bought an Octavia VRS from them in 2010 when they gave me an absolutely killer deal. They offered me more for my 2008 VRS than I'd paid for it a year earlier, in part-ex against the 2010 VRS on the 20% off and 0% finance deal. I also bought a new Yeti off them and a Scout for my Dad. They've always been good at dealing with problems too. I ended up rejecting the 2010 VRS as I wasn't happy with it, and kept my trade-in. They were great about it. They were also good at dealing with problems after an injector recall.
  20. After a few years away (had a Yeti L&K until 2018 and various other Skodas continually for 13 years before that), we've been tempted back by a Kamiq. We've gone for a Meteor Grey Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI manual. I've added: Heated seats and washer jets. USB-C ports in the rear. Spare wheel. I kept the standard quaint old fashioned air-con controls, despite having had dual zone climate control on every car I've had in the last 16 years. I just can't abide what they've done with the climate control, in how they've split it between the physical knobs for temp and touch screen for fan speed. We were having trouble deciding between Corrida Red and Meteor Grey, but it turns out Corrida Red is no longer available to order as of this week. I do keep getting tempted by velvet red though. Bought it from Rainworth in Sheffield. £22,100 including the options and £2250 finance contribution. Intend to withdraw from the PCP and pay it off immediately. Looking to keep it probably 3-5 years.
  21. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106123758112 If you're looking for an L&K, be aware this one is yet another example that seems to have a leaking roof. Surface rust covering steering column, rust on metal structure behind the fuse access panel on the right of the dash, etc. I love L&Ks, particularly because of how the cabin feels with the glass roof, but at this point, considering Skoda's attitude to the problem, they're just too risky sadly. It pains me to say this as I was wanting another one.
  22. Paging the fun police. Fun police to the Yeti forum. This is a code red... @Llanigraham
