Real world VRS economy
Mine should still appear in my Fuelly below. That's on a TSI mapped to c.300bhp, 29.5 mpg over 21k miles. Low because I don't drive economically, and my commute was four miles of nose to tail traffic. On a 34 mile commute, I'd expect to see late 30's, and on a run, I'd get it up in the low 40's without trying. It's a peach of an engine in my opinion Very addictive after being mapped (Revo stage 1). Gaz

Time to replace my trusty Passat b5.5
Hello Stanley I had a 1999 B5 (110 so pre PD) Estate, which I loved, and lasted several years with a mate after I moved it on. My Mk3 Octavia Estate was similar in size, if a tad smaller, but as a vRS was a very different car. My Mk1 Superb was cavernous compared to the B5. As Gissin said, depends on what you want/need. I may not have a Skoda at the moment, but I'll not hesitate to return to the fold, and quite fancy another Superb. Mine certainly lived up to its name. Gaz

Snip Snip...
Sally miscarried before our first arrived. After our second (25 on Friday, so some time ago now) we decided on the same lines as you. We went a different route though and while other friends went down the vasectomy route, we (Sally) decided to have her fallopian tubes clipped as it was she that didn't want to get pregnant again. Was done via three keyhole points, and while far more invasive than what I could have had, it worked out well for us. If Sally hadn't gone down a different path, I'd have definitely had the snip. Gaz

I agree (not that you need it). What a shame. I'd have expected better from Toyota Unimog it is then? (Parking space still available ). Onwards and upwards. Gaz

Mk3 VRS Bumper Protector Options
+1 Not colour coded, but black suited my 2015 vRS well. Good quality too. Measure lots and mark up more than you think you need to. I dropped mine at the wrong moment and it was 5mm out Only I noticed, but I knew it was out, which grated! Gaz

Alloy Blemish
Take your pick: 'Gosh, we've never seen anything like that before...' 'No sir, not warranty related, I'm afraid that's fair wear and tear...' 'You do realise that by modifying your alloy wheel, you've invalidated any warranty you may have had.... we advise you to inform your insurer that you have had your alloys wheels lightened...' MD damaged two of my alloys when changing tyres. Rejected my complaint as 'existing damage' until I showed them timed photo's from when I'd left the car with them two hours earlier. It was apparently the machine that did it Gaz
