Ordered 3 months after me, delivered X months before me 🤣 Will be nice to see a vRS nipping around when I visit the parents though!

It's a fair point but they're the same car, I think I'll just end up with the same wait. Also - to be fussy - I think the Skoda looks better, I like the built in main screen and I don't like the handwriting badge on the SEAT!

And you get exactly the same from Skoda themselves. The dealers have got no chance.

Less patience and more rock and a hard place. Got an S-Max with over 100k miles on it, sold the Audi and went down to one car. Want something that will do the kit and quality of the Audi but the space of the S-Max... And at the price point there isn't anything else. And if I order something else? I'm waiting again. And if I go second hand I'm spending the same/near as much money on something second hand because the market is mad. Also the wife says if we cancel then the money is going on doing up the bathrooms so...

Absolutely torn my hair out, bald spots are massive. Argued a lot with Skoda UK to absolutely no gain. It's a 1.5 SportLine but with a fair few toys, park assist, travel assist, virtual cockpit, towbar, sleep pack, 3rd key, rear seat release, winter pack... Think that's it!

I'm slightly jealous you're even getting information, but also glad it's not just be being screwed. My order has been in since May, and they won't ("can't") give me any build week info.

No... But I'd rather not have to kick down every time I exceed the limit, or have chimes and warnings every time. And we also know, also, that the sign recognition and GPS is hardly faultless, I'd rather not have a car that decides to slow to 50 in a 70 of its own accord. And what do you "for some reason they're enabled"? It will be enabled as a mandatory measure for every new car sold as of July.

Talking of safety features I'm concerned about getting it before the mandatory speed limiters come into force in the UK...

I was, and you're right. More likely to ship out Audis than Skodas. Just exacerbates the problem though and still means long standing orders being pushed to the bottom rather than being treated with priority.

I can see from Skoda's side - if for simplicities sake a specced up car needs 100 chips and a base needs 50, they're of course going to build and sell two base instead of fulfil the order. But there has to be some point at which an order already on the books has to take precedence otherwise it could be pushed to the bottom forever.

That's awful, communication from factory seems abysmal. It's hardly difficult to message back and forth, it's ridiculous. Grammar and spelling is better than most UK nationals, don't worry 😂

That's our problem, it's the Kodiaq or nothing - particularly the way used prices have gone. Considered ordering something else, but what if we then just wait for that too?
