  1. Hello everyone. Advertising my Race blue 57 plate VRS. I have had it for over 4 years and it's been a great car to own and maintain. It's almost completely stock apart from the recent powder coating to the original alloys and a couple new badges.

Currently sitting at 71K miles but as I only did about 5K miles in it last year and less the year before that I cant see those miles climbing rapidly. The first stamps in the service book were Skoda dealer stamps until I bought it where I took it to an Arnold Clark Skoda dealer where they put Arnold Clark stamps. I have since had it services by my trusted independent garage yearly. No expense spared on service, where possible genuine parts used and brakes cambelt etc all done regularly. Serviced and MOT June this year so no worries there.

Spec wise it's the PD Diesel engine which runs and pulls great. It has Xenons, Cruise control, maxidot display, jumbo box and 6 Cd changer. 18inch alloys with 4 Goodyear tyres on all corners (I'm picky about tyres)

Bad points, chip/ding on the bonnet, I resprayed the rear spoiler as the lacquer peeled (common issue) and small scuff on underside of front bumper, I know it's there, can't see it standing in front of car unless on hands and knees.

Reason for sale is my use of the car doesn't warrant a diesel and I'd love to go back to a turbo petrol/bigger car for family. (zafira VXR taken as trade would see it!)

Price is £4200 I'm located in Nairn, Highlands

  2. Hi everyone. 2007 PDI vrs had the air con regassed about a year ago due to poor performance. Worked fine over the summer but recently noticing a whooshing air leak type of noise and no cool air whatsoever. Pressing the econ button the noise stops, back to auto and it returns after a couple of seconds.

Any ideas? Something a local independent garage can look at? I can only think it's a valve or something. Or the front mount radiator has a hole in it.

  3. Hi guys, I've had this problem for a long time now, so I have done a lot of research on it. Have had my father in law check all the bushes before it's mot and all seemed fine.

Only just recently decided to change the droplinks on the front as that is easy enough to do. Still knocking and rattling at low speed, turning into my drive over the drop kerb results in a very loud thud and rumble which I can feel through the steering wheel

Any ideas guys, there must be at least 5 bushes per side I can think of not being a mechanic that could be the problem, add the cost of all them up x2 sides I'd be better off selling the car or living with the rattle. Sailed through its mot with just new droplinks however the old ones I took off were solid, no splits or movement.

I'm thinking anti roll bar bushes or strut top mounts. But I've read the anti roll bar bushes can't be changed separately, is this true?

  4. Philips xtreme visison 130%. Got these as my main beam and are awesome

+1 on Philips extreme vision, although in have the 100% bulbs they are very bright and white! comparable to my xenons.

Have been through halfords, ring and Osram night breakers, don't get anything else but Philips

  5. Yep, that's what I said in my first post, I ended up getting confused with that thread.

So the above part numbers will actually fit a pre face lift octy vrs.

Ps I know the badges will define fit, there the easy one.

Sorry I don't like those honeycomb ones, maybe if a had a facelift vrs with the honeycomb grills
