You won't need etch primer if its not been sanded down to bare alloy.
Good job on that refurb, I recently did 2 of my zeniths, ages spent sanding but ok in the end.

I'm sure if you look at the tyre specs and compare them you will find that the tyre pressure will be suitable. I think the letters XL after the tyre size mean something to do with heavy loading.
Or call around your chosen tyre stores/websites, they are the professionals after all.

Aren't windscreens two pieces of glass laminated with a sheet of plastic between them. If so then if the crack is on the inside I would positively suspect the dealer has whacked it from inside, maybe not the mirror but possibly a tool, ratchet, spanner, extension bar? I would have a really close look and feel to work out which side the crack is on as this would surely shift the bias towards dealer fault.

Why are you not telling us your other car was a Fiat?
-
You say new, is that brand new dealership new or second hand new.
It's just you said it's a tfsi which is the older engine, newer model is a tsi.
If its brand new anything that's wrong with it will surely be covered under warranty.

Are you planning on keeping this in case of emergency at the side of the road so that you can change them and carry on your journey. A lot more work than just changing a regular halogen bulb

DON'T DO YOUR FRONT WINDOWS.
They are already tinted as are most modern cars, ask your dealer what oem tint the windows come with if you don't believe me but even if you put the lightest tint you can find you will get yourself fines once caught and tested.

However as you are noticing the smell because temps are creeping above 4 degrees which is the shut off temp for the air con I am starting to smell it again so it might be worth getting it to a specialist or dealer, dare I say it even kwik fit?

I asked my dealer and they can freshen the air on system for a small fee, I asked how it works and its basically an antibacterial spray which is circulated around the cabin and all the vent ducting. It was something like £30.
I didn't have the time to drop the car in so I fitted a new pollen filter and bought a can of that air con freshner from halfords, just press the button, leave it in the car for a couple mins with fans on max

Do you mean iPhone as in the way it is spelled on the back of them

Hmm my discs are also wrinkled as you put it, directional scores on the surface. Not my only car to have discs turn out like this.
Can I ask what discs and pads you had.

Does anyone know if the wiring is there for those without puddle light, or any mods that can be done to illuminate us without puddle lights.

I have noticed I have the same problem as above, slow speed braking, I can only see one pad but it looks about half worn, the front discs also have a good lip on them

Doesn't the slate come in 3 or 4 sections which when fitted are levelled and wax is used between the joins to make the surface smooth again.
I think you need to rethink what your buying

Thought so,

I was worried it was too old, how about swapping the 2 front sony speakers for the QUADs running off the Sony amp, im worried the Sony system splits all the bass directly to the subwoofer and so the QUAD speakers wont get the full range they deserve.

Yes TV is sound source, SKY box>HDMI Cable>TV>Optical cable>Sony Surround
Onkyo Amplifier R-805TX, CD deck C-705TX.
QUAD Speakers 77-11L
Sony Surround System DAV-DZ830W oops seems to be a bit more than 300 watts, never ever looked up the specs as It was second hand when I got it.
Do you want the TV specs, its a modern Samsung should cope with anything from analogue to digital.

Hi guys, so I finally got my dads old Hifi system its on old Onkyo AV receiver with a separate CD deck and a pair of QUAD 100W speakers. There is no HDMI input or optical in, its all AUX inputs.
I currently have a 300W Sony 5.1 Surround system which I use with my Sky box and tv, I have all four corner speakers up on the walls around my living room, the centre one in front of the TV and the sub is beside the far off sofa out of sight.
The QUAD speakers sound amazing compared to my sony system so I would really like to use these somehow. I was wondering if I should chuck the Surrounds out and just go stereo. Or is there a way to swap the 2 front surrounds out for the QUAD speakers so in essence I still have 5.1 but better front speakers.
Help me work out how to make use of this system, or advise on some other use for it, I also have a wall mounted Sony 40 inch in the bedroom I could use the speakers for but I hardly use it. Next step is hooking it all up to my computer for some really big explosions in BF3

I just added a few things to the basket but no 50 percent discount is being added, anyone had any luck?

Could you link to the droplinks you have bought, mine need changing but not sure where to start.

Xenons is something I would always want to spec if I has the opportunity to buy a new car. Although these are very hard to fit afterwards.
Reverse park sensors, multi function steering wheel and Bluetooth and sunset tinted windows.
Congrats on your new car, always liked Scouts, what colour you getting?

good spec good price

I dont know if the gearboxes on the PD170 are the same as yours but if so I would imagine it can handle that power, even remapped vrs can handle the power.

should have made it a 3 door, dont Audi have enough 'saloons'
Looks like it should be competing with BMW M1 which is a 3 door

Service due now on my Vrs
in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Posted
Hi guys, so my service is due on my TDI vrs, I'm taking it to my local Indy who specialising in rally cars. They also have the latest Hunter machine so I trust this garage know what they are as they have dealt wi my dad and brother on a few occasions.
Thing I'm confused with is how do they know what needs doing to the car at a specific mileage and can they change the service interval from variable to fixed?
I have asked the owner how it works and he did say something along the lines if some database and as long as we know the mileage we can carry out the relevant service at an hourly rate plus parts.
What do you guys think, it's provisionally booked it in for Monday possibly to get an alignment check too.
