  1. Anyone got them, know what they are, had them fitted and are happy with them. Venetian or pleated? How much light do the venetian block out?

So ive seen a couple of our customers get these perfect fit blinds after we have fitted their new double glazing. They look really good and I think they are the best way to keep your blinds out of the way of tilt and turn windows.  Ive been googling around trying to find the best prices as I have 8 windows to cover. im looking at roughly £42 a window so for my bedroom that works out at £126 for the 3 panes of glass!

Any companies recommended, Im about to visit my local blind company as Ive already had a quote off them and they are more expensive than all the online retailers for their supply only (it just so happens he knows my dad very well and gave me a decent discount too but still more expensive than online retailers)

Ive found all I want on one website, not sure if im allowed to mention it here, and if I go ahead and purchase online Ill save over £120 so basically one window worth for free. (I am aware that if I buy online I have to assemble, looks easy, four corners eight screws)

Im also a bit worried about aftercare and how much support an online retailer would provide if they started to fall apart within a couple of years, I feel a local firm would provide more support plus I would like to keep business in the area.

Any ideas before I rock up at my local company and waste his time if he cant go any lower.

  2. I dont think you will find the same output of LED emitters on aftermarket bulbs as you would find OEM from Audi, ive seen LED dipped and main on Audi A8,s and they are super bright, def up there with HID.

Bulbs that have a blue or any colour coating on the glass actually lower the light output, think about. The blue tint has an effect on eyes of appearing brighter, just get some standard bulbs if your worried about cost.

  3. I dunno guys, I really do feel a difference with v power, even compared to regular shell. I fill up the vrs maybe once a month when I do get a chance to drive it after the wife has filled with fuel save.

A couple miles or a few days after I've filled up I can notice the difference in torque and throttle response, it's definitely not a placebo because i often get a nice surprise when I put the foot down and then remember why it's a little more pokey. Not done a test to see if I get more to a tank but I'm not really interested in that as I only cover 10k a year.

  4. You will need to put silicon on the inside behind the rubber surround, fold it back with your fingers and run a bead right around where the metal comes in contact with the rubber, let it go and it should squeeze the silicon into all the gaps. Doing the outside doesnt solve the problem as there is still air rushing around inside the door cavity and then coming in from around the inside seal.
